Open source approach to locally record and enable searching on Mac

Instantly access every moment you've had on your Mac, from now on. 100% local. No network. Open-source. I think the idea of recording everything you see has the potential to change how we interact with our computers and believe it should be open source. Also, that means there is no tracking/analytics of any kind, which means I don't know if you're running into bugs when you do. So please report any / all you find.

    one-person-businesses-methodology

    one-person-businesses-methodology

Methodology for building one-person online businesses

...It frames product selection around personal unfair advantages—skills, access, or niche knowledge—so you can compete without a large team. The repository breaks the journey into phases: idea mining, problem-solution fit, audience building, monetization, and compounding through small, continuous improvements. Rather than theory, it focuses on day-to-day habits, weekly cadences, and decision heuristics that keep a solo founder moving. It also highlights risk management for health, burnout, cash flow, and platform dependence, which are often overlooked in indie-hacker playbooks. ...

    DeiT (Data-efficient Image Transformers)
DeiT (Data-efficient Image Transformers) shows that Vision Transformers can be trained competitively on ImageNet-1k without external data by using strong training recipes and knowledge distillation. Its key idea is a specialized distillation strategy—including a learnable “distillation token”—that lets a transformer learn effectively from a CNN or transformer teacher on modest-scale datasets. The project provides compact ViT variants (Tiny/Small/Base) that achieve excellent accuracy–throughput trade-offs, making transformers practical beyond massive pretraining regimes. ...

    gopkg

    gopkg

Example for the go pkg's function

gopkg is a large community-driven repository of examples for Go’s standard library packages, created to fill the gap left by the relatively sparse official examples. The project organizes content so that each package has its own directory and each function within that package gets its own Markdown file with code examples. The idea is that developers can quickly look up “how do I actually use this function?” without digging through source code or scattered blog posts. The maintainer provides conventions for naming and formatting, and requires that submitted examples compile and run locally or on the Go Playground, which helps keep the collection reliable. A todo.md file coordinates contributions so collaborators do not duplicate work, and there is an associated chat group for discussion. ...

    StyleTTS 2

    StyleTTS 2

Towards Human-Level Text-to-Speech through Style Diffusion

StyleTTS2 is a state-of-the-art text-to-speech system that aims for human-level naturalness by combining style diffusion, adversarial training, and large speech language models. It extends the original StyleTTS idea by introducing a style diffusion model that can sample rich, realistic speaking styles conditioned on reference speech, allowing highly expressive and diverse prosody. The architecture uses a two-stage training process and leverages an auxiliary speech language model to guide generation toward more natural and coherent utterances. ...

    Hiera

    Hiera

A fast, powerful, and simple hierarchical vision transformer

Hiera is a hierarchical vision transformer designed to be fast, simple, and strong across image and video recognition tasks. The core idea is to use straightforward hierarchical attention with a minimal set of architectural “bells and whistles,” achieving competitive or superior accuracy while being markedly faster at inference and often faster to train. The repository provides installation options (from source or Torch Hub), a model zoo with pre-trained checkpoints, and code for evaluation and fine-tuning on standard benchmarks. ...

    snorkel

    snorkel

A system for quickly generating training data with weak supervision

...The Snorkel project started at Stanford in 2016 with a simple technical bet: that it would increasingly be the training data, not the models, algorithms, or infrastructure, that decided whether a machine learning project succeeded or failed. Given this premise, we set out to explore the radical idea that you could bring mathematical and systems structure to the messy and often entirely manual process of training data creation and management, starting by empowering users to programmatically label, build, and manage training data. Snorkel Flow, an end-to-end machine learning platform for developing and deploying AI applications. ...

    OnnxStream

    OnnxStream

Lightweight inference library for ONNX files, written in C++

...Generally, major machine learning frameworks and libraries are focused on minimizing inference latency and/or maximizing throughput, all of which at the cost of RAM usage. So I decided to write a super small and hackable inference library specifically focused on minimizing memory consumption: OnnxStream. OnnxStream is based on the idea of decoupling the inference engine from the component responsible for providing the model weights, which is a class derived from WeightsProvider. A WeightsProvider specialization can implement any type of loading, caching, and prefetching of the model parameters.

    VITS2 backbone with multilingual-bert

Bert-VITS2 is a neural text-to-speech project that combines a VITS2 backbone with a multilingual BERT front-end to produce high-quality speech in multiple languages. The core idea is to use BERT-style contextual embeddings for text encoding while relying on a refined VITS2 architecture for acoustic generation and vocoding. The repository includes everything needed to train, fine-tune, and run the model, from configuration files to preprocessing scripts, spectrogram utilities, and training entrypoints for multi-GPU and multi-node setups. ...

    Timeliner

    Timeliner

All your digital life on a single timeline, stored locally

...The project can import different kinds of personal data, index them, and present them as a unified chronological archive. It is designed around data ownership, long-term preservation, and the idea that people should be able to keep meaningful records outside closed platforms. The repository is now deprecated in favor of its successor, Timelinize, so it should be viewed as an older implementation rather than the current recommended tool. Even so, it remains a useful reference for local-first personal archiving and timeline-based data organization.

    autollm

    autollm

Ship RAG based LLM web apps in seconds

...The project focuses on simplifying the usual stack of model selection, document ingestion, vector storage, querying, and API deployment into a more unified developer experience. Its core idea is that a developer can create a query engine from a document set in just a few lines and then turn that same engine into a FastAPI application almost instantly. AutoLLM supports a broad range of language models and vector databases, which makes it useful for teams that want flexibility without rewriting their application architecture every time they switch providers. ...

    Multi-Voice and Prompt-Controlled TTS Engine

...It supports both English and Chinese and ships with over 2,000 preset voices, making it suitable for everything from characters and virtual anchors to narration and dialogue. The core idea is prompt-based emotional and style control: you can ask the engine to speak “happy,” “sad,” “excited,” or with other high-level style prompts that shape prosody, pitch, speed, and energy. EmotiVoice provides multiple ways to interact with it, including a web interface, a Docker image, an HTTP API (including an OpenAI-compatible TTS API), and Python scripts for batch synthesis. ...

    RWKV

    RWKV

    RNN with great LLM performance

RWKV-LM is the main research and training repository for the RWKV language model architecture. It presents RWKV as an attention-free RNN-style model that aims to reach transformer-level language model performance. The project is built around the idea that a model can be trained in a parallelizable way like a GPT-style transformer while running inference with recurrent efficiency. This gives RWKV important advantages for long-context use, including lower memory pressure and no traditional key-value cache requirement. The repository includes training code, model notes, research material, and references to current RWKV weights. ...

    React Demos

    React Demos

A collection of simple demos of React.js

This repository is a curated collection of small, focused React examples intended to illustrate core concepts through runnable code. Each demo isolates a single idea—such as component composition, state and props, lifecycle hooks, or event handling—so learners can see cause and effect without framework noise. The code favors clarity over abstraction, making it easy to copy, tweak, and compare different approaches to the same problem. Many examples are deliberately minimal, showing just enough HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to highlight the React pattern being taught. ...

    Gorgonia

    Gorgonia

Gorgonia is a library that helps facilitate machine learning in Go

...Gorgonia is a library that helps facilitate machine learning in Go. Write and evaluate mathematical equations involving multidimensional arrays easily. If this sounds like Theano or TensorFlow, it's because the idea is quite similar. Specifically, the library is pretty low-level, like Theano, but has higher goals like Tensorflow. The primary goal for Gorgonia is to be a highly performant machine learning/graph computation-based library that can scale across multiple machines. It should bring the appeal of Go (simple compilation and deployment process) to the ML world. ...

    org-super-agenda

    org-super-agenda

Supercharge your Org daily/weekly agenda by grouping items

This package lets you “supercharge” your Org daily/weekly agenda. The idea is to group items into sections, rather than having them all in one big list. Now you can sort-of do this already with custom agenda commands, but when you do that, you lose the daily/weekly aspect of the agenda: items are no longer shown based on deadline/scheduled timestamps, but are shown no-matter-what. So this package filters the results from org-agenda-finalize-entries, which runs just before items are inserted into agenda views. ...

    EDITEL

EDITEL is a screen editor/code generator for GnuCOBOL programmers

...Having said that, I developed a Screen Editor (similar to a Screen Painter, as some tools may call it) which allows the user to create screen layouts (which includes the use of colors) with delimited fields and respective input masks, and finally generate the SCREEN SECTION code that reflects that layout. All of it automatically - no code needed. The idea came from a program I used to use named EDITEL. I have adapted the concept (it was originally built for BLIS COBOL systems) and created a version that does this for GnuCOBOL and Microfocus COBOL. Enjoy !
