    ts-blank-space

    ts-blank-space

A small, fast, pure JavaScript type-stripper

ts-blank-space is a fast type-stripping compiler that converts TypeScript to JavaScript. It supports a modern subset of TypeScript by erasing the types and replacing them with whitespace. That's it. It is not a type checker and does not perform any other code transformations. The underlying technique can improve build performance and simplify development. The implementation is pure TypeScript. It is simple enough to read and understand in a few minutes because it is only 700 lines of code and reuses the original TypeScript parser. The core idea is to use spaces as a substitute for type annotations. You can think of ts-blank-space as a reference implementation of this type-stripping technique. Much like other compiler techniques seen in the JavaScript ecosystem, such as tree-shaking, it is a reusable idea that any TypeScript compiler could implement.

    Advanced CSS Course

    Advanced CSS Course

Starter files, final projects and FAQ for my Advanced CSS course

Advanced CSS Course is the official course-material repository for Jonas Schmedtmann’s Advanced CSS and Sass course. It contains starter files and finished project files for the projects taught throughout the course, giving learners a structured way to code along and compare their work with the completed versions. The repository focuses on modern CSS techniques such as Sass, responsive layouts, animations, Flexbox, CSS Grid, and reusable design patterns. It also includes downloadable course slides, making it easier to follow the theory portions alongside the hands-on projects. The code is meant for learning rather than production reuse, but it provides clear examples of how advanced CSS concepts are applied in real interfaces. It is best suited for students who already know basic HTML and CSS and want to move into polished, professional frontend styling.

    Alpakka Kafka

    Alpakka Kafka

Alpakka is a Reactive Enterprise Integration library for Java

The Alpakka project is an open source initiative to implement stream-aware and reactive integration pipelines for Java and Scala. It is built on top of Akka Streams and has been designed from the ground up to understand streaming natively and provide a DSL for reactive and stream-oriented programming, with built-in support for backpressure. Akka Streams is a Reactive Stream and JDK 9+ java.util.concurrent.Flow-compliant implementation and therefore fully interoperable with other implementations. As Kafka’s client protocol negotiates the version to use with the Kafka broker, you may use a Kafka client version that is different than the Kafka broker’s version.

    Elixir LangChain

    Elixir LangChain

Elixir implementation of a LangChain style framework

Elixir LangChain is an Elixir-native implementation of the LangChain concept, designed to help developers build applications powered by large language models using the Elixir ecosystem. The library focuses on enabling composable workflows where different processes, APIs, and services can be connected into structured pipelines driven by LLMs. It mirrors the architecture of traditional LangChain frameworks by providing abstractions for chains, tools, agents, and model integrations while adapting them to Elixir’s concurrency model. This makes it particularly well-suited for building scalable, real-time AI systems that benefit from Elixir’s fault tolerance and lightweight process management. The framework supports multiple providers and includes features such as streaming responses, tool calling, and structured outputs, allowing developers to create complex AI-driven workflows.

    Hiring Without Whiteboards

    Hiring Without Whiteboards

Companies that don't have a broken hiring process

Hiring-without-whiteboards is a curated list of companies and teams that avoid traditional "whiteboard" interviews, instead focusing on realistic and practical evaluation methods. In this context, "whiteboards" symbolizes outdated or unhelpful computer science trivia questions often criticized in technical interviews. The project highlights organizations that emphasize interviewing techniques more aligned with actual day-to-day work, such as collaborative problem-solving, pair programming, or take-home assignments. It encourages a shift away from brainteasers, riddles, or puzzle-based interviews, which can create unnecessary barriers for candidates. The repository not only provides a resource for job seekers looking for fairer interview processes but also offers guidance for companies seeking to improve their hiring practices. With community contributions, it continues to grow as a reference for employers and applicants who value practical, respectful, & effective technical evaluation.

A process for exposing JMX Beans via HTTP for Prometheus consumption

JMX to Prometheus exporter: a collector that can configurable scrape and expose mBeans of a JMX target. This exporter is intended to be run as a Java Agent, exposing a HTTP server and serving metrics of the local JVM. It can be also run as a standalone HTTP server and scrape remote JMX targets, but this has various disadvantages, such as being harder to configure and being unable to expose process metrics (e.g., memory and CPU usage). Running the exporter as a Java agent is strongly encouraged.

    Piranha

    Piranha

A tool for refactoring code related to feature flag APIs

Feature flags are commonly used to enable gradual rollout or experiment with new features. In a few cases, even after the purpose of the flag is accomplished, the code pertaining to the feature flag is not removed. We refer to such flags as stale flags. The presence of code pertaining to stale flags can have the following drawbacks. Unnecessary code clutter increases the overall complexity w.r.t maintenance resulting in reduced developer productivity The flags can interfere with other experimental flags (e.g., due to nesting under a flag that is always false) Presence of unused code in the source as well as the binary. Stale flags can also cause bugs. Piranha is a tool to automatically refactor code related to stale flags. At a higher level, the input to the tool is the name of the flag and the expected behavior, after specifying a list of APIs related to flags in a properties file.

    RedSun

    RedSun

    The Red Sun vulnerability repository

RedSun is a proof-of-concept security project that demonstrates a critical privilege escalation vulnerability in Microsoft Defender by exploiting unintended file-handling behavior. The tool leverages how Defender processes files tagged with cloud metadata, where instead of removing malicious files, the antivirus may rewrite them to their original location. By carefully manipulating this process, the exploit enables attackers to overwrite protected system files and gain SYSTEM-level privileges from a low-privilege account. The repository provides a minimal C++ implementation that showcases this behavior for research and educational purposes. It highlights flaws in endpoint protection logic and emphasizes how race conditions and file system interactions can be abused. The project is not designed as a full framework but as a focused demonstration of a real-world vulnerability. It serves as a stark example of how defensive systems can be turned into attack vectors.

    RetrofitUrlManager

    RetrofitUrlManager

Let Retrofit support multiple baseUrl and can be change the baseUrl

RetrofitUrlManager is an Android networking utility built on top of Retrofit and OkHttp that enables applications to support multiple base URLs and dynamically switch endpoints at runtime. The library simplifies complex networking architectures where apps interact with multiple APIs, environments, or microservices without requiring developers to rebuild Retrofit instances manually. It works by intercepting outgoing requests and replacing or modifying the target domain through a centralized management layer. The project is especially useful in modular Android applications, debugging environments, multi-tenant systems, and apps requiring dynamic API routing. RetrofitUrlManager integrates seamlessly into existing Retrofit workflows with minimal configuration while preserving compatibility with OkHttp interceptors and Retrofit annotations. Its design prioritizes flexibility, runtime configurability, and reduced boilerplate in Android networking stacks.

    Shaderc

    Shaderc

A collection of tools, libraries, and tests for Vulkan shader

Shaderc is a collection of tools and libraries for compiling shaders—small programs that run on GPUs—into SPIR-V, the intermediate representation used by the Vulkan graphics API. It provides both a command-line tool (glslc) and a C/C++ library (libshaderc) that wrap the functionality of glslang (the Khronos reference compiler for GLSL) and SPIRV-Tools to deliver a modern, scriptable, and efficient shader compilation workflow. The glslc compiler offers a GCC/Clang-like interface for building GLSL and HLSL shaders, making it easy to integrate into existing build systems. Meanwhile, libshaderc exposes a stable API that allows developers to programmatically compile shader strings into SPIR-V modules within graphics engines and tools. Shaderc supports advanced features such as file inclusion (#include), concurrency, and cross-platform builds, and it maintains backward compatibility for long-term projects.

    Tesla

    Tesla

The flexible HTTP client library for Elixir

The flexible HTTP client library for Elixir, with support for middleware and multiple adapters. Tesla is an HTTP client loosely based on Faraday. It embraces the concept of middleware when processing the request/response cycle. Define module with use Tesla and choose from a variety of middleware. Tesla is built around the concept of composable middlewares. This is very similar to how Plug Router works. All HTTP functions, such as Tesla.get/3 and Tesla.post/4, can take a dynamic client as the first argument. This allows using convenient syntax for modifying the behavior in runtime. Tesla supports multiple HTTP adapter that do the actual HTTP request processing. Each piece of the stream will be encoded as JSON and sent as a new line (conforming to JSON stream format). You can set the adapter to Tesla.Mock in tests.

    WebDriverManager

    WebDriverManager

Automated driver management and helper features for Selenium WebDriver

WebDriverManager is an open-source Java library that carries out the management (i.e., download, setup, and maintenance) of the drivers required by Selenium WebDriver (e.g., chromedriver, geckodriver, msedgedriver, etc.) in a fully automated manner. In addition, WebDriverManager provides other relevant features, such as the capability to discover browsers installed in the local system, building WebDriver objects (such as ChromeDriver, FirefoxDriver, EdgeDriver, etc.), and running browsers in Docker containers seamlessly. The primary use of WebDriverManager is the automation of driver management. For using this feature, you need to select a given manager in the WebDriverManager API (e.g., chromedriver() for Chrome) and invoke the method setup(). The following example shows the skeleton of a test case using JUnit 5, Selenium WebDriver, and WebDriverManager.
