    Swig

    Swig

Take a swig of the best template engine for JavaScript

Swig is an archived JavaScript template engine inspired by Django and Jinja syntax. It renders templates in Node.js and major web browsers and can integrate with Express applications. Developers can use inheritance, includes, variables, filters, loops, conditionals, and other familiar template constructs. Automatic output escaping helps produce safer HTML by default. The engine can be extended with custom filters, tags, and related extras to support application-specific behavior. It was designed to remain compact while offering a full set of server-side rendering conveniences. The repository was archived in 2018 and is no longer maintained, so it is best suited to legacy applications, migration work, or historical study.

    Swing

    Swing

    A swipeable cards interface

Swing is a JavaScript library designed to create realistic swipeable card interfaces similar to those popularized by dating applications. It provides physics-based animations that simulate natural movement when users drag and release cards, enhancing user interaction and engagement. The library allows developers to build interfaces where elements can be swiped left, right, or in other directions, triggering specific actions. It is highly customizable, enabling control over thresholds, directions, and animation behavior. Swing is lightweight and framework-agnostic, making it easy to integrate into different web projects without heavy dependencies. It is commonly used for building interactive UI components such as recommendation systems or decision-based interfaces. Overall, swing offers a simple yet powerful way to implement gesture-driven interactions in web applications.

Architecture-free neural network library for node.js and the browser

Synaptic is a javascript neural network library for node.js and the browser, its generalized algorithm is architecture-free, so you can build and train basically any type of first order or even second order neural network architectures. This library includes a few built-in architectures like multilayer perceptrons, multilayer long-short term memory networks (LSTM), liquid state machines or Hopfield networks, and a trainer capable of training any given network, which includes built-in training tasks/tests like solving an XOR, completing a Distracted Sequence Recall task or an Embedded Reber Grammar test, so you can easily test and compare the performance of different architectures. If you have no prior knowledge about Neural Networks, you should start by reading the provided guide.

    THANKS

    THANKS

Give thanks to the open source maintainers you depend on

THANKS is a small command-line tool that helps developers discover which open-source maintainers behind their npm dependencies are accepting donations. It is built around a simple idea: projects benefit from countless unpaid maintainer hours, so users should have an easy way to support the people who keep those projects alive. Instead of forcing teams to research every dependency manually, thanks scans the current project and surfaces donation opportunities directly from the terminal. It can be run instantly with npx or installed globally for repeated use across projects. The project also invites maintainers to add themselves to its donation list through pull requests, making it community-driven. It is best suited for JavaScript and Node.js developers who want to make open-source funding more visible and actionable.

    TenorSpace.js

    TenorSpace.js

    Neural network 3D visualization framework

TensorSpace is a neural network 3D visualization framework built using TensorFlow.js, Three.js and Tween.js. TensorSpace provides Keras-like APIs to build deep learning layers, load pre-trained models, and generate a 3D visualization in the browser. From TensorSpace, it is intuitive to learn what the model structure is, how the model is trained and how the model predicts the results based on the intermediate information. After preprocessing the model, TensorSpace supports the visualization of pre-trained models from TensorFlow, Keras and TensorFlow.js. TensorSpace is a neural network 3D visualization framework designed for not only showing the basic model structure but also presenting the processes of internal feature abstractions, intermediate data manipulations and final inference generations. By applying TensorSpace API, it is more intuitive to visualize and understand any pre-trained models built by TensorFlow, Keras, TensorFlow.js, etc.

    Text Typesetting

    Text Typesetting

Concise guide to better typography and formatting practices

Text-Typesetting is a concise guide to better typography and formatting practices for technical writing. It collects rules of spacing, punctuation, emphasis, and layout that improve readability, especially in documents mixing multiple languages or code. The repository focuses on consistent micro-typography—such as when to use non-breaking spaces, how to place punctuation around quotes, and how to format lists and headings. Examples show the before/after impact of small adjustments, making the guidance practical rather than theoretical. Because the recommendations are tooling-agnostic, they apply to Markdown, HTML, slides, and printed PDFs alike. It’s a handy checklist for authors who want cleaner, more professional documents without becoming typography experts.

    Typed.js

    Typed.js

    A JavaScript typing animation library

Typed.js is a library that types. Enter in any string, and watch it type at the speed you've set, backspace what it's typed, and begin a new sentence for however many strings you've set. Rather than using the strings array to insert strings, you can place an HTML div on the page and read from it. This allows bots and search engines, as well as users with JavaScript disabled, to see your text on the page. You can pause in the middle of a string for a given amount of time by including an escape character. CSS animations are built upon initialization in JavaScript. But, you can customize them at your will!

    URI.js

    URI.js

    Javascript URL mutation library

URI.js is a javascript library for working with URLs. It offers a "jQuery-style" API (Fluent Interface, Method Chaining) to read and write all regular components and a number of convenience methods like .directory() and .authority(). URI.js offers simple, yet powerful ways of working with query string, has a number of URI-normalization functions and converts relative/absolute paths. While URI.js provides a jQuery plugin. URI.js itself does not rely on jQuery. You don't need jQuery to use URI.js. URI.js (without plugins) has a gzipped weight of about 7KB, if you include all extensions you end up at about 13KB. So unless you need second level domain support and use URI templates, we suggest you don't include them in your build. Clone the URI.js repository or use a package manager to get URI.js into your project. See the build tool or use Google Closure Compiler.
