    Vanilla Web Projects

    Vanilla Web Projects

Mini projects built with HTML5, CSS & JavaScript

vanillawebprojects is a collection of small, hands-on web apps built with only HTML, CSS, and plain JavaScript to teach core front-end skills without frameworks. Each project targets a concrete concept—DOM manipulation, events, localStorage, fetch, form validation, audio/video APIs, and more—so learners see ideas applied in working code. The codebases are intentionally compact and readable, making them easy to clone, tweak, and extend. Projects progress from beginner-friendly to moderately advanced, offering a steady ramp of difficulty and variety. This repository is popular for daily practice, classroom demos, and portfolio starters because it emphasizes results you can see in the browser immediately. By avoiding heavy tooling, it keeps the focus on fundamentals that carry over to any library or framework later.

    Vavr

    Vavr

Object-functional library that runs with Java 8+

Vavr core is a functional library for Java. It helps to reduce the amount of code and to increase the robustness. A first step towards functional programming is to start thinking in immutable values. Vavr provides immutable collections and the necessary functions and control structures to operate on these values. The results are beautiful and just work. The Vavr binaries can be found on Maven Central. Beside with Gradle and Maven they work also standalone. The documentation gives an overview and covers the concepts in depth. It is the best way to get started with Vavr. Vavr is open source and can be found on Github. It is distributed under the Apache 2.0 License. There are several additional modules that group around Vavr's core. All of these are supported by the Vavr open-source organization. Oracle and Java are registered trademarks of Oracle and/or its affiliates. Other names may be trademarks of their respective owners.

    Video Nonlocal Net

    Video Nonlocal Net

Non-local Neural Networks for Video Classification

video-nonlocal-net implements Non-local Neural Networks for video understanding, adding long-range dependency modeling to 2D/3D ConvNet backbones. Non-local blocks compute attention-like responses across all positions in space-time, allowing a feature at one frame and location to aggregate information from distant frames and regions. This formulation improves action recognition and spatiotemporal reasoning, especially for classes requiring context beyond short temporal windows. The repo provides training recipes and models for standard datasets, as well as ablations that show how many non-local blocks to insert and at which stages. Efficient implementations keep memory and compute manageable so the blocks can be added without rewriting the entire backbone. The result is a practical, drop-in mechanism for upgrading purely local video models into context-aware networks with strong benchmark performance.

    Vim Galore

    Vim Galore

    All things Vim

vim-galore is an extensive knowledge base for Vim users, offering curated tips, plugin recommendations, configuration ideas, workflows, and best practices—a comprehensive starting point for mastering Vim. Vim adheres to the modal editing philosophy. This means that it provides multiple modes and the meaning of keys changes according to the mode. You navigate files in normal mode, you insert text in insert mode, you select lines in visual mode, you access commands in command-line mode and so on. This might sound complicated at first, but has a huge advantage: you don't have to break your fingers by holding several keys at once, most of the time you simply press them one after the other. The more common the task, the fewer keys are needed.
