    Specter

    Specter

    Clojure(Script)'s missing piece

Specter is a powerful Clojure (and ClojureScript) library that revolutionizes navigation and manipulation of deeply nested and recursive data structures through a flexible, high-performance API beyond what vanilla Clojure offers. Specter has an extremely simple core, just a single abstraction called "navigator". Queries and transforms are done by composing navigators into a "path" precisely targeting what you want to retrieve or change. Navigators can be composed with any other navigators, allowing sophisticated manipulations to be expressed very concisely. In addition, Specter has performance rivaling hand-optimized code (see this benchmark). Clojure's only comparable built-in operations are get-in and update-in, and the Specter equivalents are 30% and 85% faster, respectively (while being just as concise). Under the hood, Specter uses advanced dynamic techniques to strip away the overhead of composition.

    Speedy Composer

Speedy Composer – Artificial Neural Network Melody Composer.

Thank you for your interest in Speedy Composer. Speedy Composer is an automated application for composing melodies for Speedy Net members. We recently made changes to the source code of Speedy Net, and converted it into the Python language and Django framework. Since Speedy Composer was originally written in PHP, it is not adapted to work with Speedy Net in its current form. So unfortunately we were forced to temporarily close the app Speedy Composer. But don't worry, we kept backups of all the tunes composed by Speedy Composer, and when the website is reopened we will upload them to the new site. Speedy Composer and Speedy Net are open source applications, free software. We are currently looking for volunteers to help us convert Speedy Composer to Python. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact me by email. Thank you and good luck, Uri Rodberg Founder and Director of Speedy Net and Speedy Composer, Speedy Paz Technologies Ltd. uri@speedy.net

    Splitties

    Splitties

A collection of hand-crafted extensions for your Kotlin projects

Splitties is a collection of small Kotlin multiplatform libraries (with Android as first target). These libraries are intended to reduce the amount of code you have to write, freeing code reading and writing time, so you can focus more on what you want to build for your users (even if you're the only one), or have more time to have fun. This project is named "Splitties" because it is split in small modules, distributed as independent libraries, so you can add only the ones you need to your project/module, helping reduce the size of the final binary that users' devices will need to download and keep in the limited storage (BTW, everything is limited). Some Android targeting modules have content similar to what Anko offers.

    Spray

    Spray

Scala libraries for building and consuming RESTful web services

Spray is a suite of Scala libraries built on top of Akka that offers a modular, asynchronous, and non-blocking toolkit for building and consuming RESTful and HTTP services. The core philosophy behind Spray is that it should act as a “library” for integration and HTTP layers, not as a full application framework—it gives you the building blocks to handle HTTP and REST but doesn’t impose heavy structure. It includes modules for low-level HTTP I/O, routing, client and server APIs, HTTP model (requests/responses), (un)marshalling, servlet adapters, and testing utilities. Its routing DSL offers expressive combinators for defining HTTP endpoints, and its testkit allows route logic to be tested in isolation (even without spinning up actors). It was popular in earlier Scala/Akka stacks but has since been superseded by Akka HTTP as the maintained successor.

    Spring Cloud Examples

    Spring Cloud Examples

Spring Cloud learning cases, service discovery, service governance

The Spring Cloud Examples repository appears to be a collection of sample applications and demos that illustrate how to use Spring Cloud and related cloud-native patterns in real-world microservice or distributed-service contexts. It provides working codebases showing how to wire together service discovery, configuration, inter-service communication, and possibly resilience patterns — giving developers a hands-on playground rather than theoretical documentation. By studying the examples, one can understand how Spring Cloud works in practice: how to structure services, how to configure them, and how they interact under realistic conditions. For developers new to microservices or to Spring Cloud, this repo lowers the barrier to adoption by offering a ready-made baseline they can inspect, run, and modify. It can also function as a reference when designing architecture for a cloud-native backend, or as a starting point for a new microservices project.

    Spring Cloud Sleuth

    Spring Cloud Sleuth

    Distributed tracing for spring cloud

Spring Cloud Sleuth provides Spring Boot auto-configuration for distributed tracing. Sleuth configures everything you need to get started. This includes where trace data (spans) are reported to, how many traces to keep (sampling), if remote fields (baggage) are sent, and which libraries are traced. Add Spring Cloud Sleuth to the classpath of a Spring Boot application (together with a Tracer implementation) and you will see trace IDs in logs.

    Spring Integration

    Spring Integration

Provides an extension of the Spring programming model

Extends the Spring programming model to support the well-known Enterprise Integration Patterns. Spring Integration enables lightweight messaging within Spring-based applications and supports integration with external systems via declarative adapters. Those adapters provide a higher-level of abstraction over Spring’s support for remoting, messaging, and scheduling. Spring Integration’s primary goal is to provide a simple model for building enterprise integration solutions while maintaining the separation of concerns that is essential for producing maintainable, testable code.

    Spring PetClinic

    Spring PetClinic

    A sample Spring-based application

The Spring Petclinic is the canonical reference sample application built with Spring Boot and Thymeleaf, demonstrating best practices in building Spring-based web applications; forks also exist showcasing implementations with modern architectures like microservices, reactive stacks, and AI integrations. In its default configuration, Petclinic uses an in-memory database (H2) which gets populated at startup with data. The h2 console is exposed and it is possible to inspect the content of the database using the jdbc:h2:mem:<uuid> URL. The UUID is printed at startup to the console. One of the best parts about working on the Spring Petclinic application is that we have the opportunity to work in direct contact with many Open Source projects.

    Spyne

    Spyne

A transport agnostic sync/async RPC library

Spyne is a Python RPC toolkit that makes it easy to expose online services that have a well-defined API using multiple protocols and transports. It integrates with popular Python web frameworks as well as libraries like SQLAlchemy to keep your code as DRY as possible. Spyne aims to save the protocol implementers the hassle of implementing their own remote procedure call api and the application programmers the hassle of jumping through hoops just to expose their services using multiple protocols and transports. In other words, Spyne is a framework for building distributed solutions that strictly follow the MVC pattern, where Model = spyne.model, View = spyne.protocol and Controller = user code. Spyne comes with the implementations of popular transport, protocol and interface document standards along with a well-defined API that lets you build on existing functionality.

    Squire

A library of static Eloquent models for common fixture data

Squire is a library of static Eloquent models for fixture data that is commonly needed in web applications, such as countries, currencies, and airports. It's based on the concepts of Caleb Porzio's Sushi package. Squire includes a validation rule for each model installed in your app. These allow you to easily validate user input to ensure that it matches a record in a specific model. Squire may not always have a model available for the information you require. In this case, you may want to create your own.

    StarsAndClown

    StarsAndClown

    Github Star Gathering Treatment List

StarsAndClown is a repository by the same maintainer that seems intended as a lighthearted “ranking / listing” project, possibly gathering interesting or amusing GitHub repositories, trending topics, or community “stars” — perhaps with a humorous or satirical twist given the name. The concept suggests a curated (or semi-automated) list of GitHub repos worth noting: whether because of popularity, novelty, or community interest — giving “people who eat grapes” (i.e. spectators) a way to enjoy and laugh along with the broader open-source ecosystem. For users browsing GitHub casually or seeking entertainment rather than strictly utility, StarsAndClown offers a curated feed of repositories that stand out — sometimes for good reason, sometimes for quirky appeal. As a public listing, it helps surface interesting corners of GitHub that mainstream ranking systems may neglect, offering a “pop-culture catalogue” of software rather than purely technical resources.

    Starter Applets

    Starter Applets

    Google AI Studio Starter Apps

starter-applets is a collection of minimal, sandboxed example “applets” that demonstrate how to compose Gemini-powered microapps (chat widgets, image generation, workflows) that can be embedded in other applications or used standalone. The applets are structured with a focus on simplicity: each presents a prompt input, minimal UI logic, and inline display of the resulting output or widget (e.g. generated text, images). They are built to illustrate best practices (e.g. safety guards, prompt templates, streaming UI updates) rather than production feature sets. The repo supplies a CLI or script to scaffold new applet templates, letting developers spin up small Gemini-powered components quickly. Each applet includes configuration parameters (API keys, model selection, prompt parameters) in a secure but flexible format. Because applets are meant to be composable, they adopt a modular plugin architecture so you can integrate one into a Next.js, Flutter, or native app with minimal glue.

    State Controller Library

    State Controller Library

A C++ framework that implements generalised finite state machines.

The State Controller Library is a generic platform-independent C++ framework that allows finite state machines and multi-action planning generalisations thereof to be realised. The structure and implementation of this library focuses on the application of finite state machines to real-time control loops, but can be reasonably adapted for virtually any other application, even completely unrelated to control systems. An emphasis has been placed on having very low overhead so as not to hurt overall system performance no matter where this library is used, while still maintaining ease of use. Code size has also been kept to a minimum. Aside from implementing standard finite state machines and multi-action planning state machines, this library can also be used to implement hierarchical state controllers, or any hybrid of the three. Please refer to the extensive documentation for more information. I welcome all feedback, suggestions and bug reports! Email: pallgeuer[at]ais.uni-bonn.de
