The embedded Buffer Pool Manager (eBPM) supports the creation of pools of fixed buffer sizes. The user may allocate a buffer from the pool and queue to any other pool. A freed buffer is returned to its original pool.

fmstream provides an interface to read data from memory-mapped files as input/output streams. File mapping is the association of a file's contents with a portion of the virtual address space of a process. The system creates a file mapping object (also known as a section object) to maintain this association. A file view is the portion of virtual address space that a process uses to access the file's contents. File mapping allows the process to use both random input and output (I/O) and sequential I/O. It also allows the process to work efficiently with a large data file, such as a database, without having to map the whole file into memory. Multiple processes can also use memory-mapped files to share data.

This project is a tool to detect file types by signatures and mime types. It uses hash tables to make the detection of a file type as fast as possible. The signature and mime types lists are stored at simple user-friendly files. This file type detector supports a lot of formats (image, archive, text, documents, audio, video, fonts and others). It also includes Microsoft OLE compound file types. The detector's algorythm has special features to detect text file types like (HTML, XML, JSON, etc.) and text file UNICODE charsets by using their BOMs (Byte order marks). Its small simple interface can be used at the most popular platforms.

Provide common tools similar to coreutils and util-linux primarily for the Kevux systems. Simple commands like 'install' have proven to be problematic in that they might nit work well in change root environments where there is no mounted /proc filesystem. Provide simple replacements and other common tools utilizing the Featureless Linux Library. These will not be one-to-one or feature-to-feature replacements.
