OpenXP 5 is a multi-protocol offline mail and news reader for the text console, supporting internet email, Usenet, Fidonet, ZConnect, etc. It is based on OpenXP (https://sourceforge.net/p/openxp, currently inactive) which is based on CrossPoint (XP) by Peter Mandrella. A windowed/full-screen countdown timer.
A windowed / full-screen countdown timer. Colour and font size changes are used as warnings. Progress-bar gives a glance at the time stream. Three different modes are available: - time left; - time passed; - ordinary clock. When the time is over several possibilities are available: - to show the defined message; - to continue count the time; - to launch another application; - to close the count-down timer. Useful for speech, lecture or presentation timing. Colour / font / time limits can be changed using settings window and hot-keys. To change current time use the mouse wheel. By clicking on progress-bar, the timer mode is toggled. -

This program is a GUI for the command line tool grep and pdfgrep. Pdfgrep search text in multiple PDF files and grep can serach text in multiple text files. You can use regular expressions for the search (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regular_expression). This GUI and the command line tools work without indexing. The following options are used: -i (ignore case) and -F (fixed strings), -n (Print page number or output lines) and -H (Print the file name for each match) from the command line tool. The -r option will be done by the program itself.
