    Soundnode App

    Soundnode App

Soundnode App is the Soundcloud for desktop

Soundnode App is an Open-Source project to support Soundcloud for desktop Mac, Windows, and Linux. It's built with Electron, Node.js, Angular.js, and uses the Soundcloud API. Be aware that Soundnode relies on Soundcloud API which only allows third-party apps to play 15 thousand tracks daily. When the rate limit is reached all users are blocked from playing/streaming tracks. The stream will be re-enabled one day after (at the same time) streams were blocked. Since SoundCloud applies a rate limit to third-party apps, you need to configure your own API key to make soundnode work. Unfortunately, SoundCloud suspended new application creation, so to retrieve your API key, you have to dig into the SoundCloud website. Listen to songs from your stream, likes, tracks, following or playlists.

    Spectron

    Spectron

    Test Electron apps using ChromeDriver

Easily test your Electron apps using ChromeDriver and WebdriverIO. For given versions of Electron you must depend on a very specific version range of Spectron. We provide a version mapping table between Spectron version and Electron version. Spectron works with any testing framework but the example provided uses mocha. By default, mocha searches for a folder with the name test ( which we created before ). For more information on how to configure mocha, please visit mocha. Spectron exports an Application class that when configured, can start and stop your Electron application. The Electron helpers provided by Spectron require accessing the core Electron APIs in the renderer processes of your application. So, either your Electron application has nodeIntegration set to true or you'll need to expose a require window global to Spectron so it can access the core Electron APIs.

    StoryGen Atelier

    StoryGen Atelier

AI-assisted storyboard and video generation tool

StoryGen Atelier is an advanced creative tool that blends AI with visual storytelling, making it possible to generate fully structured storyboards and stitched videos from text prompts without requiring manual art or animation skills. Users begin with natural language descriptions of their story or scene, and the system uses state-of-the-art large models to generate both the script and corresponding frames. Once individual frames are created, a second AI model generates transition clips that smoothly link the frames into a coherent short video sequence, and the tool then assembles everything into a finished video using standard video processing tools. This pipeline transforms abstract creative ideas into shareable visual narratives, offering a powerful workflow for writers, filmmakers, content creators, and educators alike.

    SwissGL

    SwissGL

SwissGL is a minimalistic wrapper on top of WebGL2 JS API

SwissGL is a compact JavaScript library that provides a streamlined abstraction layer over the WebGL2 API, designed to minimize boilerplate when building GPU-accelerated graphics, simulations, and procedural visualizations. Acting as a "Swiss Army knife" for WebGL2, it simplifies shader, texture, and framebuffer management into a single, expressive interface that enables developers to write complex GPU workflows in just a few lines of code. The library centers around one main function that unifies rendering and compute operations, allowing the creation of particle systems, GPGPU effects, and real-time simulations entirely on the GPU. Despite its simplicity and small size (under 1000 lines of code), SwissGL demonstrates remarkable flexibility, from basic visual experiments to complex multi-pass rendering pipelines. It’s also designed as an exploration of minimalist graphics API design, serving as an early experimental step toward the upcoming WebGPU era.

    Synthwave ’84 (VSCode Theme)

    Synthwave ’84 (VSCode Theme)

Synthwave inspired colour theme for VS Code

synthwave-vscode is a visual theme extension for Visual Studio Code that gives the editor a retro, neon-drenched look reminiscent of 1980s synthwave aesthetics. It applies a dark base palette with bold accent colors, glowing highlights, and sharp contrasts to bring an edgy, stylized atmosphere to coding sessions. Syntax highlighting is tuned to balance readability with dramatic flair, ensuring code elements don’t get lost while preserving the cool visual vibe. The theme also includes optional “neon glow” effects on UI elements, cursor styles, and sidebars for users who want a more immersive style. Many users choose it to inject personality into their development environment—especially in late-night coding sessions. Because it’s just a theme, it can be layered with other UI tweaks or paired with complementary icon packs and UI themes in VS Code.

    Text2Video

    Text2Video

Software tool that converts text to video for more engaging experience

Text2Video is a software tool that converts text to video for more engaging learning experience. I started this project because during this semester, I have been given many reading assignments and I felt frustration in reading long text. For me, it was very time and energy-consuming to learn something through reading. So I imagined, "What if there was a tool that turns text into something more engaging such as a video, wouldn't it improve my learning experience?" I created a prototype web application that takes text as an input and generates a video as an output. I plan to further work on the project targeting young college students who are aged between 18 to 23 because they tend to prefer learning through videos over books based on the survey I found. The technologies I used for the project are HTML, CSS, Javascript, Node.js, CCapture.js, ffmpegserver.js, Amazon Polly, Python, Flask, gevent, spaCy, and Pixabay API.

    The Art of Programming

    The Art of Programming

A collection of practical tips can be found at the bottom of this page

The Art of Programming (Second Edition) is a curated collection of programming problems and solutions originally derived from the Microsoft 100 Interview Questions blog series, later refined into a long-running tutorial and ultimately a published book. Created by July, the series began in 2010 and has since evolved into an in-depth exploration of algorithmic thinking, data structures, and coding interview preparation. The repository brings together 42 classic programming problems from the original series, enhanced with detailed explanations, formula derivations, and optimized solutions. In July 2023, work on the second edition was announced, which expands the project with updated content, new problems inspired by recent big-tech interviews, and introductions to modern machine learning techniques such as XGBoost, CNNs, RNNs, and LSTMs. This collection serves both as a historical record of algorithm problem-solving and as a living resource for programmers preparing for interviews.

    Tonic

    Tonic

Easy to audit, zero-dependencies and build-tool-free

A low-profile component framework. 1 file. 1 class. ~350 lines of code. No build tools are required. Native web components. Ideal for JAM stacks. Identical on client & server. Composition oriented. Event delegation by default. Lots of examples. Building a component with Tonic starts by creating a function or a class. The class should have at least one method named render which returns a template literal of HTML. onic is a thin wrapper around web components. Web components require a name with two or more parts. So your class name should be CamelCased (starting with an uppercase letter). Tonic has no templating language, it uses HTML! But since HTML only understands string values, we need some help to pass more complex values to a component, for that we use this.html. There is no evidence that Virtual DOMs improve performance across a broad set of use cases, but it's certain that they greatly increase complexity. Tonic doesn't use them. Instead, we recommend incremental updates.

    Transformer Explainer

    Transformer Explainer

Learn How LLM Transformer Models Work with Interactive Visualization

Transformer Explainer is an interactive visualization tool created to help users understand how transformer-based language models operate internally. The platform runs a lightweight GPT-2 model directly in the user’s browser and allows users to experiment with text prompts while observing the model’s internal operations. Through visual diagrams and interactive interfaces, the tool reveals how tokens are processed through layers such as embeddings, attention mechanisms, and feed-forward networks. Users can observe how attention weights change as the model predicts the next token, offering insight into how transformer architectures capture relationships between words. The design of the platform emphasizes educational accessibility, allowing students, researchers, and developers to explore complex machine learning concepts without requiring specialized hardware or installations.

    TuiCss

    TuiCss

    Text-based user interface CSS library

TuiCss is a library focused to create web applications using an interface based on ASCII table, like the old MS-DOS applications. This kind of interface is very legible because the ultra-contrast colors used and because the reduced effects used on the components in the view. The base of this project is Turbo Vision Framework, but some other frameworks were also checked to introduce some features to TuiCss, like curses, ncurses, Newt, etc. Check the examples page in the wiki to stay on top of some creations, or check the getting started page to start using this library! To start to use TuiCss in your project, you can just download the repository content and import the files that are in the dist folder with the html directives. Alternatively, you can install the package with NPM.

    Typed.js

    Typed.js

    A JavaScript typing animation library

Typed.js is a library that types. Enter in any string, and watch it type at the speed you've set, backspace what it's typed, and begin a new sentence for however many strings you've set. Rather than using the strings array to insert strings, you can place an HTML div on the page and read from it. This allows bots and search engines, as well as users with JavaScript disabled, to see your text on the page. You can pause in the middle of a string for a given amount of time by including an escape character. CSS animations are built upon initialization in JavaScript. But, you can customize them at your will!

    UI Bootstrap

    UI Bootstrap

Bootstrap components written in pure AngularJS by the AngularUI Team

Bootstrap components written in pure AngularJS by the AngularUI Team. UI Bootstrap provides a set of native AngularJS directives based on Bootstrap's markup and CSS. As a result no dependency on jQuery or Bootstrap's JavaScript is required. Build files for all directives are distributed in several flavours: minified for production usage, un-minified for development, with or without templates. It should be noted that the -tpls files contain the templates bundled in JavaScript, while the regular version does not contain the bundled templates. Alternativelly, if you are only interested in a subset of directives, you can create your own build. Whichever method you choose the good news that the overall size of a download is fairly small: 122K minified for all directives with templates and 98K without (~31kB with gzip compression, with templates, and 28K gzipped without).

    UnCSS

    UnCSS

    Remove unused styles from CSS

UnCSS is a tool that removes unused CSS from your stylesheets. It works across multiple files and supports Javascript-injected CSS. UnCSS cannot be run on non-HTML pages, such as templates or PHP files. If you need to run UnCSS against your templates, you should probably generate example HTML pages from your templates, and run uncss on those generated files; or run a live local dev server, and point uncss at that. UnCSS only runs the Javascript that is run on page load. It does not (and cannot) handle Javascript that runs on user interactions like button clicks. You must use the ignore option to preserve classes that are added by Javascript on user interaction. UnCSS can also be used in conjunction with other JavaScript build systems, such as Grunt, Broccoli or Gulp! Note that you can pass both local file paths (which are processed by glob) and URLs to the program.
