    Iris

    Iris

A modern shaders mod for Minecraft compatible with existing OptiFine

Iris was created to fill a void that I saw in the Minecraft customization and graphical enhancement community: the lack of an open-source shaders mod that would let me load my favorite shader packs on modern versions of the game, while retaining performance and compatibility with modpacks. OptiFine, the current dominant mod for loading shader packs, has restrictive licensing that firmly stands in the way of any sort of tinkering, and is fairly notorious for having compatibility issues with the mods that I like. It's also mutually incompatible with Sodium, the best rendering optimization mod in existence by a large margin. ShadersMod was never updated past 1.12, and it lacks support for many of the many modern popular shaderpacks. So I created Iris, to try and solve these issues, and also address many other longstanding issues with shader packs. ...

    Simplify

    Simplify

    Android virtual machine and deobfuscator

...Analyzes the execution graphs from smalivm and applies optimizations such as constant propagation, dead code removal, unreflection, and some peephole optimizations. These are fairly simple, but when applied together repeatedly, they'll decrypt strings, remove reflection, and greatly simplify code. It does not rename methods and classes.

    ThinORM

A lightweight ORM that does not require annotations.

...This project was essentially a proof-of-concept to determine whether or not I could create, essentially, an alternative to JPA that did not rely on annotations. I was able to create a working system, and a fairly lightweight one at that, but it would require a great deal of work to be production ready.

As those involved in SOA technologies will know web services and integration is a fairly dry subject. Typically the integrated systems and services sit behind a facade of other systems or web and desktop based applications. How then do you interest business users of the power of your solution? How do you quickly build or mock up an application that will interact with your back end services? We had just such a problem and needed a way to keep senior technical staff and business users awake during a presentation. ...

    Battle Game

    a simple turn-based combat program

This is a fairly simple battle program that I have been working on for quite a while. Basically you just fight monsters and when you kill one, a new one spawns. I can almost guarantee that there will be bugs. I'm sorry about that, and let me know if you come across any and I will see what I can do about fixing them. I have a few things planned for how the game is going to go, but I'm always looking for ideas so if you have any, let me know!

...As NatTrav development was stopped quite a while ago, please consider looking at more production-ready libraries like STUN (https://sourceforge.net/projects/stun/). For educational purposes, I still strongly recommend to have a look at both library and example application (chatapp) which are both documented fairly well. To download the latest version of NatTrav, please access the SVN sources in the Code section (project sits in "/nattrav/trunk/").

...Bruce "hired" me onto the Sundog Resurrection Team back in 2002 and through the years we soldiered on between periods of dormancy and turnover but always keeping the momentum forwards. The Beta version is far more advanced than the Alpha version we released three years ago, and is a fairly polished game that meet's Bruce Webster's goal of recreating the original Sundog and adding additional features and creating a pocket galaxy with convincing verisimilitude. So, head over to our website and catch up on the latest news. We expect the Beta to be released by the end of March, so don't delay!
