We, Tom BERNARD and Ugo PICHE, were asked to do this project as part of our electronic & computer science in the Polytech'Paris-UPMC engineer school, in France. We wanted to thank Mario Zechner and all contributors behind the fabulous libGDX project (https://code.google.com/p/libgdx/) which allowed us to use Box2D and OpenGL ES more, more easily than without this API. -

I made this android application for a "Gostai" training test admission. Recently, I used the same code with some modification to control a robot using my android mobile. This app communicate with a program ( written in C ) running on the " pandaboard" with socket. The communication is based on the TCP/IP protocol. For this release, I just use the basic control for the robot ( Forward, Backward, Turn Left, Turn Right and Stop ).

The Global Epidemic Simulator is a platform for modelling directly transmissible human diseases such as influenza, and testing intervention policies that may reduce the duration or severity of an outbreak of such a disease. Building on previous work, this model is spatial and individual-based, using various geographical and demographic data sources to place households at absolute locations, populated with individuals of specific ages who each attend schools or workplaces situated in their vicinity. The significant advance of this project over previous work is the global nature of simulation, the memory and performance requirements of which motivate us towards a multi-core, multi-computer solution. -
