ScummVM is a cross-platform interpreter for many point-and-click adventure games. This includes LucasArts SCUMM games (such as Monkey Island 1-3, Day of the Tentacle, Sam & Max, ...), many of Sierra's AGI and SCI games (such as King's Quest 1-6, Space Quest 1-5, ...), Discworld 1 and 2, Simon the Sorcerer 1 and 2, Beneath A Steel Sky, Lure of the Temptress, Broken Sword 1 and 2, Flight of the Amazon Queen, Gobliiins 1-3, The Legend of Kyrandia 1-3, many of Humongous Entertainment's children's SCUMM games (including Freddi Fish and Putt Putt games) and many more. MANOOL is a practical, homoiconic, dynamic, multiparadigm general-purpose programming language with a functional core. It has high expressive power but is implemented in less than 10K LOC of optimized, idiomatic C++11 for native run-time environments. MANOOL is meant to compare and compete directly with Python, PHP, Ruby, Perl, and Tcl, although incidentally it has some combination of unusual features. Example: {{extern "manool.org.18/std/0.2/all"} in WriteLine[Out; "Hello, world!"]} Explicitly stated design priorities of MANOOL: 1. implementation simplicity; 2. expressive power, usability, and general utility, attention to syntax and semantics details; 3. correctness, security, and overall quality of implementation, run-time reliability; 4. run-time performance and scalability; 5. consistency, completeness, orthogonality of features, and language elegance, conceptual economy and purity. MANOOL strives to satisfy all of the above goals, better than existing alternatives!

The MDK provides a simulator of D. Knuth's MIX computer, and a development environment to write, run and debug MIXAL programs on it.

Bean Sheet is an interpreted Java spreadsheet. At its core is Bean Shell, an open source Java interpreter. The potential of marrying a Java interpreter with a spreadsheet allows a single document to be a powerful application in its own right.

A COW interpreter written in C I know the interpreter for this already exists, but I re-wrote it from C++ to C in order to make it a lot more lightweight. I've also provided the binary executables in the releases page. It works just like my BrainF interpreter.

kissme is a free (GPLed) Java Virtual Machine. It is being developed on GNU/Linux and can run console java applications. kissme is to be used with the GNU Classpath java class library. kissme also provides support for orthogonally persistent java.

This is an interpreter written in C for a joke esoteric programming language called BrainF (Google this language for more information). The good feature about this interpreter is that it doesn't need to be installed and it's portable. Also, it's very simple and lightweight.

baffle Is an extension to BF language (https://esolangs.org/wiki/brainfuck), which itself in turn is a extension of Turing machine. baffle extends BF by adding a stack, support for procedures, adding more arithmetic instructions, and a register. baffle can run original BF programs, and while it's not the fastest implementation of BF, but it's written in such a way that makes it easier to replace the instruction set, and to write similar languages. Every cell is a single byte, and the tape wraps.
