XMIPP is an image processing suite for 3D-reconstruction of biological specimens from transmission electron microscopy data. NOTE that stable releases (including binaries) are longer stored at Sourceforge, but are available at http://xmipp.cnb.csic.es

This library contains among other things a set of graphical widgets for video output, performance evaluation and augmented reality. The library also provides classes for several data types usually required by computer vision and image processing applications such as vectors, matrices, quaternions and images. Thanks to a large number of wrapper functions these objects can be used with highly efficient functionality from third party libraries such as OpenCV, GNU Scientific Library, Computational Geometry Algorithms Library, Intel's Math Kernel Library and Integrated Performance Primitives, the Octave library, etc...

wxyzv is very small image viewer (with minimal image processing functions) that works under X Window System or SVGAlib. It needs no external image processing libraries or GUI libraries. It has no GUI, it is completely keyboard-driven.

Amoeba is an implemenatation of a research paper titled "Fast and Accurate Edge-Based Segmentation with No Contour Smoothing in 2-D Real Images" (IEEE tran on Image Processing, July 2000).This is a completed work, hence no promises for support ;)

Asido is a PHP (PHP4/PHP5) image processing solution, with "pluggable" drivers(adapters) for virtually any environment (GD2, Image Magick, etc). Asido does: various resize routines, watermark, rotation, copy images, cropping, grayscale, convert, etc.

Multiplatform and Open Source project for astronomical image processing

Bric is a cross-platform batch image processor. You can convert, resize, rotate and add watermark to your images. Multiple file types are supported for input and output. The project started back in 2011 and was maintained for a couple of years. In 2020 BRIC is again in active development, so some of the features written below might be outdated. Please be patient, until everything is reviewed and rewritten.

The CVR-Lib (Computer Vision and Robotics Library) is a C++ object oriented library for computer vision. It provides lots of functionality to solve mathematical problems, many image processing and analysis algorithms, classification tools, and much more.

The Common OCR Service Interface. COSI is an API that allows developpers to easily bring OCR (Optical Character Recognition) capabilities to image processing applications. COSI supports existing OCR tools such as Tesseract, GOCR or GNU Ocrad.

Simply put, CSSgram is a library for editing your images with Instagram-like filters directly using CSS. What we're doing is adding filters to the images, as well as applying color and/or gradient overlays via various blending techniques to mimic filter effects. This means less manual image processing and more fun filter effects on the web! We are using pseudo-elements (i.e. :before and :after) to create the filter effects, so you must apply these filters on a containing element (i.e. not a content-block like <img>. The recommendation is to wrap your images in a <figure> tag. If you use custom naming in your CSS architecture, you can add the .scss files for the provided styles within your project and then @extend the filter effects within your style definitions. Mixins allow for multiple filter arguments to be passed into your classes. This is useful for if you want to add filters in addition to the ones provided (i.e. add a blur).

CT4AM is a cross-platform toolkit for 3D-image processing in the domain of additive manufacturing for toolpath visualisation or correlation to tomographic data and related materials science. It is written in C++ and provides small, problem-specific applications for viewing, analysing and visualising of volumetric data from micro-CT scans with respect to the complex process parameters and characteristics of additive manufacturing. Moreover, data analysis and processing of G-code are key assets of the project. The main objective is not to provide yet another complex application for volume data visualization and medical image processing. Instead, CT4AM is a collection of small and simple apps that have already been successfully used to solve various problems in materials science and process visualization. You can either execute these tools directly or use their source codes to develop your own application for toolpath analysis or correlation.

ColorI-DT (Color Image Difference Tool): Colori-DT is an open-source tool developed in MATLAB and designed to measure color differences in images. CVSharp (aka Computer Vision in C#) is a Computer Vision project. Until the present day just one part of the whole project was actually developed. It's called CVSharp Lab, an Image Processing Tool.
