Tools for 3D image analysis of additively manufactured parts

CT4AM is a cross-platform toolkit for 3D-image processing in the domain of additive manufacturing for toolpath visualisation or correlation to tomographic data and related materials science. It is written in C++ and provides small, problem-specific applications for viewing, analysing and visualising of volumetric data from micro-CT scans with respect to the complex process parameters and characteristics of additive manufacturing. Moreover, data analysis and processing of G-code are key assets of the project. The main objective is not to provide yet another complex application for volume data visualization and medical image processing. ...

    composight
Composight is a cross-platform toolkit for 3D-image processing in the domain of composite materials science. It is written in C++ and provides small, problem-specific applications for viewing, filtering and segmentation of volumetric data such as micro-CT scans. The main objective is not to provide yet another complex application for volume data visualization and medical image processing. Instead, Composight is a collection of small and simple apps that have already been successfully used to solve various problems in materials science.

    GridMos

    GridMos

GridMos, mosaicing tool (in MATLAB) to improve cell counting.

...However, performing the cell counting by tagging the cells in a steady image mosaic increases the reliability of the counts performed. Unfortunately, to build a mosaic of a hemocytometer's grid shows some problem due to the repeated patterns (i.e., the squared blocks of the grid). GridMos is an open-source software tool conceived to build an image mosaic of a hemocytometer's grid. It is optimized to build the mosaic starting from a sequence of overlapping images previously acquired. The Graphical User Interface (GUI) implemented makes GridMos a very user-friendly software tool. ...

A graphical user interface to many Image Processing Functions

...(see Image Magick, Open CV, VTK, MuParser, POV-Raytracer and CombineZ) It is impossible to list all of the uses for the software, the basic idea is that you develop or download a Function List which will solve some graphics problem when it is run. Function Lists are built from simple functions, in turn the settings and properties of these functions can be altered interactively. In essence a function list is like a program that provides easy interaction with the end user, e.g. interactive previews to alter settings.

    DCTV

DUAL CONSTRAINED TV-BASED REGULARIZATION ON GRAPHS

...In this work, we extend the TV dual framework that includes Chambolle's and Gilboa-Osher's projection algorithms for TV minimization. We use a flexible graph data representation that allows us to generalize the constraint on the projection variable. We show how this new formulation of the TV problem may be solved by means of fast parallel proximal algorithms. On denoising and deblurring examples, the proposed approach is shown not only to perform better than recent TV-based approaches, but also to perform well on arbitrary graphs instead of regular grids. The proposed method consequently applies to a variety of other inverse problems including image fusion and mesh filtering.

    EMGU Kalman Filter

Kalman Filter for EMGU Image Processing Applications

...The filter is named for Rudolf (Rudy) E. Kálmán, one of the primary developers of its theory. More information is available at Wikipedia, the Kalmn Filter was derived to solve the Wiener filter problem. The Wiener filter problem is to reduce the amount of noise present in a signal by comparison with an estimation of the desired noiseless signal. The discrete-time equivalent of Wiener's work was derived independently by Kolmogorov and published in 1941. Hence the theory is often called the Wiener-Kolmogorov filtering theory. ...
