Faraday
Simple, but flexible HTTP client library, with support for backends
Faraday is an HTTP client library abstraction layer that provides a common interface over many adapters (such as Net::HTTP) and embraces the concept of Rack middleware when processing the request/response cycle. You probably don't want to use Faraday directly in your project, as it will lack an actual client library to perform requests. Instead, you probably want to have a look at Awesome Faraday for a list of available adapters. The best starting point is the Faraday Website, with its introduction and explanation. This library aims to support and is tested against the currently officially supported Ruby implementations. This means that, even without a major release, we could add or drop support for Ruby versions, following their EOL. Currently that means we support Ruby 2.6+. You can also install the faraday_middleware extension gem to access a collection of useful Faraday middleware. -

Martian is a library for building custom HTTP/S proxies
Martian Proxy is a programmable HTTP proxy designed to be used for testing. Martian is a great tool to use if you want to verify that all (or some subset) of requests are secure. Mock external services at the network layer. Inject headers, modify cookies or perform other mutations of HTTP requests and responses. Verify that pingbacks happen when you think they should. Unwrap encrypted traffic (requires install of CA certificate in browser) By taking advantage of Go cross-compilation, Martian can be deployed anywhere that Go can target. Martian Proxy added support for Go modules since v3.0.0. If you use a Go version that does not support modules, this will break you. The latest version without Go modules support was tagged v2.1.0. For logging of requests and responses a logging modifier is available or HAR logs are available if the -har flag is used. Once Martian is running, you need to configure its behavior. -

Indexes open directories listings in 130+ supported formats, including FTP(S), Google Drive, Bhadoo, GoIndex, Go2Index (alternatives), Dropbox, Mediafire, GoFile, GitHub. Written in C# with .NET (Core), which means it is cross-platform! Downloading is not (yet) implemented, but is already possible when you use the resulting file into another tool (for most of the formats). When you are NOT using the self-contained releases, you need to install the latest/current Runtime version of .NET 7. -

It supports running as a service with the ability to extend its functionality on a per-project basis. RoadRunner includes PSR-7/PSR-17 compatible HTTP and HTTP/2 server and can be used to replace classic Nginx+FPM setup with much greater performance and flexibility. RoadRunner can be installed and used in production right away for even the biggest applications under constant load. go-mitmproxy is a Golang implementation of mitmproxy that supports man-in-the-middle attacks and parsing, monitoring, and tampering with HTTP/HTTPS traffic. Parses HTTP/HTTPS traffic and displays traffic details via a web interface. Supports a plugin mechanism for easily extending functionality. Various event hooks can be found in the examples directory. HTTPS certificate handling is compatible with mitmproxy and stored in the ~/.mitmproxy folder. If the root certificate is already trusted from the previous use of mitmproxy, go-mitmproxy can use it directly. Map Remote and Map Local support. -

httr: a friendly http package for R
httr is superseded: only changes necessary to keep it on CRAN will be made. We recommend using httr2 instead. The aim of httr is to provide a wrapper for the curl package, customized to the demands of modern web APIs. Functions for the most important http verbs: GET(), HEAD(), PATCH(), PUT(), DELETE() and POST(). Automatic connection sharing across requests to the same website (by default, curl handles are managed automatically), cookies are maintained across requests, and an up-to-date root-level SSL certificate store is used. Requests return a standard reponse object that captures the http status line, headers and body, along with other useful information. Support for OAuth 1.0 and 2.0 with oauth1.0_token() and oauth2.0_token(). The demo directory has eight OAuth demos: four for 1.0 (twitter, vimeo, withings and yahoo) and four for 2.0 (facebook, github, google, linkedin). OAuth credentials are automatically cached within a project. -

A geoblock module created by Triple IT. It can be added to the IIS7 pipeline (now also on IIS 8.5). It uses the IPv4 address to determine the geographic location of the request by using maxminds geo IP file and takes action accordingly. Next to the module, 2 tools are included. 1 to quickly lookup the country for a specific IP address and 1 to help you automate the update of the MaxMind data file.
