jMIR is an open-source software suite implemented in Java for use in music information retrieval (MIR) research. It can be used to study music in the form of audio recordings, symbolic encodings and lyrical transcriptions, and can also mine cultural information from the Internet. It also includes tools for managing and profiling large music collections and for checking audio for production errors. jMIR includes software for extracting features, applying machine learning algorithms, applying heuristic error error checkers, mining metadata and analyzing metadata.

It can calculate the frequencies of null alleles in the case of genetic data as well as H (heterosigosity) and PIC (polymorphic Information Content) values. Java Quine McCluskey implements the Quine McCluskey algorithm with Petrick’s Method (or the method of prime implicants) for minimization of Boolean functions. This software can be used both for learning and solving real problems. As a learning/teaching tool, it presents not only the results but also how the problem was solved as well as how to use Karnaugh Maps to solve the problem. Up to sixteen functions of sixteen variables can be minimized. A graphical interface is provided for entering and editing the truth table that can be saved and loaded. The results can be exported in HTML format. It generates the Karnaugh Map for educational purposes and the actual truth table from the obtained expressions even when multiple solutions for each function are found. This implementation supports PLC programming, so results can be presented in many forms including Structured Text (ST) and Ladder Diagram (LD) along with conventional Boolean expression.

Added C files for gcc compiler in Windows 10 and for Xcode C command line project in MacOS ( tested on Mac mini M2 with single core 16 to 25 sec and multicore 2,3 to 5 second by compiler -O switch). Surprise, same code in JavaScript for M2 chip in Safari, 12,5 sec single core and 3,3 sec multi core.
