    libusb

    libusb

A cross-platform library to access USB devices

...It is written in C (Haiku backend in C++) and licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License version 2.1 or, at your option, any later version. libusb is a C library that provides generic access to USB devices. It is intended to be used by developers to facilitate the production of applications that communicate with USB hardware. Using a single cross-platform API, it provides access to USB devices on Linux, macOS, Windows, etc. No special privilege or elevation is required for the application to communicate with a device. All versions of the USB protocol, from 1.0 to 3.1 (latest), are supported. libusb is abstracted internally in such a way that it can hopefully be ported to other operating systems.

    vJoy
This project was originally designed to provide an open-source replacement for PPJoy. The product, at this point, consists of virtual joystick devices that is seen by the system as a standard joystick but its position-data is written to it by a feeder application. An existing feeder application that takes advantage of this product is SmartPropoPlus. If you are an application writer you can very easily write an application that controls a joystick (e.g. mouse-to-joystick, keyboard-to-joystick). ...

    ESP8266 USB Software Driver

    ESP8266 USB Software Driver

    Software-only ESP8266 USB Device

...The design needs only a small amount of external circuitry and uses adjacent GPIO pins for the D+ and D- signals. It operates at USB low speed, making it suitable for human-interface devices and control-oriented peripherals. The repository includes an example that emulates a USB keyboard and mouse. A web interface can remotely control those virtual input devices over the ESP8266 network connection. The implementation is highly memory-conscious and includes custom control-message handling, hardware designs, and build tooling for embedded experimentation.
