    ShiftRC

    Simple cheap DIY RC receiver/handler.

...this project will host multiple version, some very simple ones, and some more complex. a similar thing can be said for the controllers, I will soon upload the schematics and designs for a steampunk style controller. but for a more simple understanding a simple remote might be a transmitter(led, speaker, or antenna for example) a button, and a capacitor to stabilize the button because every pulse you send changes the state. however high precission control is possible. Use the project and schematics however you want it as long as it does NOT restrict others.

    C for programmable guitar amp

This project experiments with C language to discover and design a programmable guitar amplifier effects micro controller computer section of a tube and solid state designed guitar amp. This a collaboration electronics project with my son. The goal of this project is to use Arduino hardware with C language programming to manipulate the guitar signal by various effects of phaser, flanger, reverb, digital delay and echo, and tremelo. Also, the signals of two microphones, two guitars, and one mp3 device will be inputted into and passed through two 3-band programmable equalizers. ...

    spectramfid

A ramdisk on a Spectranet device FID driver for CP/M Plus

...A Spectranet device (apart from being networking interface) contains 128kB of extra RAM that can be accessed even with the Spectranet firmware disabled. This project proposes a FID driver that exposes Spectranet's extra memory as a ramdisk to the CP/M Plus system. Changes in v1.1: keep floppy drive motor state (as set by CP/M) when paging in Spectranet RAM (to avoid motor jumps). Unfortunately, motor state is controlled by the same hardware register as +3's memory paging features! Changes in v1.2: Avoid using Spectranet RAM page 0 used by the device itself. Thanks to this change this driver can be used with the upcoming driver for networked disk image. ...

    SmGen

Verilog Finite State Machine (FSM) Code Generator

SmGen is a finite state machine (FSM) generator for Verilog. On the other hand, it is not an FSM entry tool. The input is behavioral Verilog with clock boundaries specifically set by the designer. SmGen unrolls this behavioral code and generates an FSM from it in synthesizable Verilog. Clock boundaries are explicitly provided by the designer so there is good control on the expected timing

    parkverbot

Daemon to prevent hard disk head parking in rotational media

Modern rotational hard disks have a misfeature involving the regular automatic unloading of the heads, measurable by the SMART attribute "Load_Cycle_Count", that causes latency on wake-up, and while the manufacturers sell this as "green", it is believed to cause reduced hard disk life. The parkverbot daemon will periodically issue small read requests in order to keep the hardware from going to its head-unloaded idle state.

    lpACLib

An Open-Source Library for Low-Power Approximate Computing Modules

...Moreover, it also provides the corresponding software behavioral models/implementations developed in C and MATLAB to enable quality characterization. Besides our novel designs, it also contains implementations for several state-of-the-art arithmetic modules and their approximate versions. This open-source library facilitates research and development in approximate computing at higher abstraction levels, and to facilitate reproducible research and comparisons. In case of usage, please refer to our publication: Muhammad Shafique, Rehan Hafiz, Semeen Rehman, Walaa El-Harouni, Jörg Henkel, "Cross-Layer Approximate Computing: From Logic to Architectures", Design Automation Conference (DAC), 2016. ...

    ApproxAdderLib

    Library of Approximate Adders

We provide MATLAB and Verilog Models of GeAr, and previously proposed adders (ACA-I, ETAII, ACA-II and GDA) at http://sourceforge.net/projects/approxadderlib/ GeAr is a low latency Generic Accuracy Configurable Adder that provides a higher number of potential configurations compared to state-of-the-art approximate adders, thus enabling a high degree of flexibility and trade-off between performance and output quality. These MATALB and Verilog models can allow software programmer as well as hardware designers to evaluate their code and design. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first open-source library of approximate adders that facilitates reproducible comparisons and further research and development in this direction across various layers of design abstraction. ...

    Interrupt-Driven Software UART

Interrupt Driven Software UART based on Atmel Software Framework

Interrupt-Driven Software UART based on Atmel Software Framework , tested on SAM3 Cortex M3 at 57600bps Start bit detection is managed by programmed GPIO falling edge interrupt handler, For bit timing is used timer counter, compare interrupt handler. Timer handler raises every 0.5 bit time periode and data sampling is managed by state machine in timer handler subroutine. Software can be used for any pin which supports external interrupt.
