Trope takes a very long time to load this monster, but it doesn't crash under the load, and once it's in, it will happily open up new windows with lesser documents.. So if you plan to write something longer than War and Peace, you probably need a different tool :-) License: MIT. -

For Haiku scripters and coders, there is a new utility called barberpole. It will throw a spinning barberpole on the screen while your script is doing something that may take a long, but unknown time. When it is done, a single hey or kill command removes the barberpole. I wrote this utility using bbjimmy's spinner library. -

A CLI utility that writes a haiku
...Far more often, it looks like the computer is populated by Vogons. But, it is a haiku. You can pipe the output like any self-respecting *NIX utility. That was easy enough. What is taking up time is adding sufficient words to its database to prevent the haikus becoming repetitious. Version 0.1 is about halfway through the alphabet. Written in yab. I haven't tried it yet, but the code should work in yabasic for Windows or Linux.
