Main idea here is that you can use Nik Plugins stand-alone without officially supported 3rd party host application (Lightroom, Photoshop, Spark, Portfolio). On Windows or Linux. Source code can be compiled natively for Linux or for Windows with Lazarus IDE. The program is dedicated to Ubuntu users, where you can install Nik Collection using wine. On Ubuntu you can either use native Linux version, or native Windows version running via wine. In fact, currently the latter is recommended, because there are some UI glitches related to gtk widgetset if you compile for Linux - the UI looks better in native Windows version (this can be fixed in the future). Even if you use native Windows version on Linux via wine, the app will be aware of wine and will still be integrated with your Ubuntu desktop and will be integrated with supported apps on it, like Gimp, Pinta, Darktable, Nautilus, etc. It will still talk to your shell, and provide all the integration with your Linux.

This is a driver for the Artec AS6E parallel port scanner. It now can be run through a SANE interface, or as a stand-alone program. Version 0.4 scans pretty well in all modes, and at all hardware resolutions. It works in EPP, PS/2, and SPP modes.

Avicenna is an application for visualizing location data stored in excel or .csv table files on a map or in a table view. It provides several export functions (such as single pictures, database dumps and even a HTML-export that enables you to use Avicenna on your website). It was developed as part of the course "Techniken der Projektentwicklung" in summer semester 2012 at the University of Bielefeld by Team 2 and is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License version 3. This project is finished and other developers should be able to use Avicennas features for their own visualization projects without having too much trouble. We provide an installation/building tutorial as well as the complete sourcecode and necessary databases. BinaryView is able to show 2d binary data either as xy-plot or using a simple fragment shader.
