MassGeotagger lets you to geotag sets of JPG Photos with GPX logs
MassGeotagger lets you select a photo, a photo folder or a folder tree and update the latitude and longitude coordinates in the EXIF data of the selected photos. To get the GPS coordinates, the method of choice is to select one or several GPX files and set the difference of time between APN time saved in EXIF data and GPS time. However other strategies to match JPG and GPS coordinates are available : by selecting one of the GPX waypoint, by selecting a point on the map or by user input. MassGeotagger can also be used to view the location of geotagged photos on a map. -

This is a simple GUI tool to handle JPG metadata like EXIF and IPTC/XMP keywords and dates according to my needs. It uses ExifTool by Phil Harvey to read and write data and can get keywords and star ratings from Adobes Photoshop Elements Organizer (trademark of adobe). It can do manual geo tagging and can read location informations from Open Street Map. Geo tagging from GPX file is also possible. The problem of other image viewing programs is, that a blur filter gets applied to the image. This works fine for high-res photos, but not for low-res pixel art. Also, zooming doesn't really work either in most programs. That's why I made this software as an alternative to the default image viewer app. Also using the app is very simple, just open the context menu of a image and press "Open with Pixel Art Image Viewer". -

an application to automatically extract text from comic books.
cbrTekStraktor is an application to automatically extract text from the text bubbles or speech balloons present in comic book reader files (CBR). Its prime goal is to perform analysis on the texts of comic books. cbrTekStraktor can however also be used for scanlation or similar purposes. The application also enables to manually define text areas in CBR files. The application comprises a simple graphical editor for further processing the extracted text. The text extraction is achieved by a combination of statistical and graphical processing operations. It is based on the following 3 major algorithms - Binarization of color images (Niblak and other methods) - Connected components - K-Means clustering Apache Tesseract is used to perform Optical Character Recognition on the extracted text. A subsequent version of the application will integrate with translation software in order to provide automated translation of comic book texts and re-inserion of translated texts -
