Avicenna is an application for visualizing location data stored in excel or .csv table files on a map or in a table view. It provides several export functions (such as single pictures, database dumps and even a HTML-export that enables you to use Avicenna on your website). It was developed as part of the course "Techniken der Projektentwicklung" in summer semester 2012 at the University of Bielefeld by Team 2 and is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License version 3. This project is finished and other developers should be able to use Avicennas features for their own visualization projects without having too much trouble. We provide an installation/building tutorial as well as the complete sourcecode and necessary databases. Avicennas internal language is German, therefore it may be necessary to do translation work for international use. For more details, please have a look at our project website.

A generic hierarchical file format. BHM can be seen as the binary equivalent of XML. It allows flexible hierarchies of any type of data, in a platform-independent way. BHM however trades XML's readability for compactness and speed of processing.

The realization of six modules on the homepage, recommendation, drama, live broadcast, follow, partition, and discovery. Video details interface, video comments, video playback completed by ijkplayer, and barrage functions implemented by the flame barrage library. The realization of the fan drama module, including the topic details interface, the fan drama details interface, the fan drama broadcasting table, the fan drama index, the new fan serial, and the new fan by season. Use ijkplayer to realize the playback of live video. (The barrage of the live broadcast has not been implemented, and the data of the barrage is not available for the time being). Realization of game center, topic center, activity center, original leaderboard, region leaderboard, offline cache. The default minSdkVersion of the project is set to 21, because some interfaces below 21 may need to be adapted. Due to the limited time, it can only be improved slowly in the later stage.

Bimage is combination of javascript and Servlet scripting meant to allow users to explore images with (near-)infinite depth. Bimage uses javascript to create the images and then save them to the database for later use. This allows users to come together to explore and generate complex, depthful images. Bimage is targeted for Google App Engine (GAE), and uses the datastore for a backend, though it should be adaptable to other backends. This project is set up for eclipse using the GAE plugin. The server-side of Bimage is not required for the javascript to function, but the saving of images will always fail (or can be disabled). Follow the link below to see Bimage in action.
