    Stride

    Stride

Stride (formerly Xenko), a free and open-source cross-platform C# game

...Because it’s built on modern C# and .NET, developers can take advantage of modern language features (C# 14, .NET 10), tooling (Visual Studio, VS Code, Rider), and long-term maintainability. OpenRW

    OpenRW

Recreation of the classic Grand Theft Auto III game executable

...The project does not ship with game content: users still need a legitimate copy of GTA III (with its original assets) to play, making OpenRW strictly an engine reimplementation, not a re-distribution. By re-writing the engine from scratch under a permissive, community-friendly license (GPLv3), OpenRW ensures long-term preservation, mod-friendliness, and better hardware compatibility (modern GPUs, controllers, cross-platform input, etc.). For developers, it also offers tools such as a “script tracer” to inspect in-game scripts opcode by opcode, a data-file viewer (RWViewer) for studying object data, models, and map files.

    Fox Oring

    Fox Oring

Fox Oring is a variation of the radio orienteering.

...Fox Oring is a timed race in which individual competitors use a topographic map and a magnetic compass to navigate through diverse, wooded terrain while searching for radio transmitters. The term is derived from the use of the term fox hunting to describe recreational radio direction finding activity and an abbreviation of the word orienteering. It is necessary to discover 5 hidden transmitters located on a 10 × 10 field in as few moves as possible. The transmitters broadcast in all 8 directions, the number on the cell indicates the number of intersecting signals.

    Neural MMO

    Neural MMO

Code for the paper "Neural MMO: A Massively Multiagent Game..."

...The environment is inspired by Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (MMORPGs), featuring resource gathering, combat mechanics, exploration, and survival challenges. Agents learn behaviors in a shared ecosystem that supports long-term training and emergent dynamics across large populations. The project is built to test scalability in multi-agent reinforcement learning, with features such as procedurally generated terrain and configurable game mechanics. While the original release has since been succeeded by newer versions maintained outside OpenAI, it remains a landmark framework for studying large-scale agent interactions in complex environments.
