Islaki Defender
Missile Command-type game for Linux using Pygame
IMPORTANT: The cursor is used to aim, the primary firing buttions are 'J', 'K', and 'L'. There is no startup menu as of yet so the game just jumps right in. Islaki defender is a program I wrote a few years ago for python 2.7. I have tried updating for Python3, however pygame does not appear to be compatible just yet. This game is similar to Missile Command however it adds an extra dimension of variability. The name of this program came about when I tried to do a trick-shot... -

Top-down dungeon crawler
de:Code is a 3rd-person top-down dungeon crawler. The world is procedurally generated using the file structure of the users hard drive. The game will use a mixture of different genres including steampunk, fantasy, mid-evil, and modern. The user will have to travel down 4 main paths each progressively harder than the last and each will have more than one genre conflicting inside. Each main path (connected by a central hub) will get harder as the user progresses down, finally reaching a unique boss at the end. -

Lyric Grabber is written in Python3, using the standard library + Tkinter, for cross-platform compatibility and minimal size. I don't think this actually affects anyone (since as far as I know, nobody is actively using this but me) but wanted to make that clear. Anyway, you'll need to drop all items from characters before you upgrade and re-add them back afterwards. This shouldn't happen again. The second is to develop in an open and well documented way to help others learn the trade of game programming. FOSSMMO will be developed using python. While python is not a common language for game development I'm a fan. Also I recently watched http://pyvideo.org/video/381/pycon-2011--algorithmic-generation-of-opengl-geom which looked amazingly fun and is influencing my selection.
