Java Open Chess is a project written in Java in NetBeans IDE. There is possibility to play for 2 players on local computers and via network connection. ...When you first run the game, you need to type in "exec initialize" in the console to have everything turn on correctly. Ideally you will only need to do this once unless your jaconfig happens to be wiped, in which case I recommend saving a "dustysmod.cfg" or something that you can exec to save and easily reload your settings. Also, to get the altered animations working you will likely need to start/devmap into a new SP game. -

And of course it does not read the disk from the old player either.
