...nQuake has become the standard within QuakeWorld, so even if you don't like the content of nQuake, it's a very good base for your installation. If you run into problems - simply install nQuake fresh and modify it until you are satisfied. Getting help with issues you bump into will be a lot easier if you started out with nQuake. -

First experiment with OpenGL - a simple car racing game
...The animation is basically based on textured sprite animation coupled with basic car physics components like outward centrifugal force experienced during a turn, acceleration,deceleration,etc. Multiplayer option is also available but with a few issues which need to be fixed. 2D simulation game using exlusively Lagrangian equations of motion. It's a 2D motocross game similar to X-Moto, ActionSupercross and such. Some stability issues persist but mostly it's good already. I shall compile it soon for Windows: one of the problems is that Windows compilers must periodically be reinstalled, and that's annoying. Using Lagrangians in games is not a well documented thing, but it allows to achieve exellent results in very little time, soon after a good parametrization of a given physical system was found. ... -

It can be used like a forum or chatroom to associate text with responses, or to associate election candidates names with their positions on the issues, or to associate your website URL with things. Many possible uses, and a global competition for what gets associated to what else.
