...Compared to the original version of Doom3, dhewm3 has many bugfixes, supports EAX-like sound effects on all operating systems and hardware (via OpenAL Softs EFX support), has much better support for widescreen resolutions and has 64bit support. It only supports old Mods if they either don’t require their own game DLL or have been ported to dhewm3. ReBOOM is a direct port of BOOM 2.02 to SDL2 aiming to be as close to the original as possible while adding Quality of Life features to it, such as always on stats. ReBOOM is demo compatible with BOOM 2.02. Please note, that this is essentially BOOM 2.02 compatible, it is NOT compatible with many wads 'claiming' to be Boom-compatible. Many of these modern Boom wads are in-fact only PRBoom-compatible and are not classed as Boom-compatible by myself or by historical Boom. It is pure fantasy. ReBOOM was primarily developed for GNU/Linux systems.

This has been a big dream of mine, and I've spent the last 5 years learning everything I could about Software Design, Web Design, and most important of all, Game Design, so I could develop my own Game Engine and make games as I pleased, and I figure what better way to make myself popular in the real world than to release an Open-Source 2D Peer-2-Peer Self-Containable Web Server/Client Game Engine, and CHALLENGE other people to make branches for their own spin-off projects. I WANT a project devoted to D&D, AND Space Games, AND Platformers. I'm taking a D&D-BASED path, but putting my own knowledge and imagination into it. So, honestly, the quickest way to contribute is to make a SourceForge, directly message me and request for a Branch, and literally take the time to TACKLE issues as they're found. I'll be teaching some of my own peers to program through this, and if you feel inspired to do so, tell me, and I'll devote a Branch to your private team.
