I was working on a project last month which involved a lot of image processing and I'd to rely on third party libraries. But before using them directly, I'd to learn different concepts in gl (shaders) and then try to implement them in React. The difficult part was not learning but it was the verbosity, boilerplate code and redundancy introduced by the libraries in the codebase. It was getting difficult to organize all the things. And React's component-based model was perfect for hiding all the implementation details in a component. -

Mar 2025 - Project moved to Github: https://github.com/symbolthree/exzellenz EXZELLENZ is a pure-Java program to manipulate table data in Oracle database through Microsoft Excel file (in xls and xlsx formats). Using Apache POI and JDBC API, this program can be used to download, insert, update, and delete data in database tables. It does not use any Office VBA, so you don't need to change the Excel security settings, and no need to worry the 32/64bit compatibility. Written in Pure-Java means that you can also run this program in Windows, *nix or Mac environment, as long as you maintain the file in Excel format (through Open/Libre Office).

...This works with MySQL. I am not going into a allot of detail about your server and how to set it up. If you have a web server running MySQL, you should be well enough versed in using this. Just upload the AMovieCollector folder to your web root directory. Using PHPMyAdmin (or whatever your choice is) create a "blank" db called AMovieCollector. Goto your web server... (http://xxx.xxx.x.xx/AMovieCollector) and the setup process will start. If you have extensive knowledge in php/html/CSS (unlike myself-but learning) This is a decent foundation to modify and/or build from.
