    Common Expression Language

    Common Expression Language

Fast, portable, non-Turing complete expression evaluation

The Common Expression Language (CEL) is a non-Turing complete language designed for simplicity, speed, safety, and portability. CEL's C-like syntax looks nearly identical to equivalent expressions in C++, Go, Java, and TypeScript. A CEL "program" is a single expression. The examples have been tagged as java, go, and typescript within the markdown to showcase the commonality of the syntax. CEL is ideal for lightweight expression evaluation when a fully sandboxed scripting language is too resource intensive. To get started, try the Codelab. Determine the variables and functions you want to provide to CEL. Parse and check an expression to make sure it's valid. Then evaluate the output AST against some input. Checking is optional but strongly encouraged. The parsing phase indicates whether the expression is syntactically valid and expands any macros present within the environment. Parsing and checking are more computationally expensive than evaluation.

    ConsoleGUI

    ConsoleGUI

A GUI framework for C# console applications

ConsoleGUI is a simple layout-driven .NET framework for creating console-based GUI applications. It provides the most essential layout management utilities as well as a set of basic controls. This framework is platform-agnostic and dependency-free. The library targets .NET standard 2.0 and should run fine on both Windows and Linux machines. What sets this library apart from other projects that provide similar functionalities, is the fact that the ConsoleGUI framework is fully layout-driven. In this regard, it’s more like WPF or HTML, than for example Windows Forms. You don’t specify the exact coordinates at which a given control should reside, but rather let stack panels, dock panels, and other layout managers do their work. I don’t claim it’s THE right way of doing things, it’s just what my background is. The ConsoleGUI (as many other UI frameworks) is not thread-safe. All UI changes should be performed from the same thread.

You simply describe the layout for your UI based on a set of inputs and the framework takes care of the rest (diff and reconciliation from virtual view hierarchy to the actual one under the hood). CoreRender includes the robust and battle-tested Facebook's Yoga as default layout engine. Any component such as a text or image can be recycled and reused anywhere in the UI.

    Coverlet

    Coverlet

Cross platform code coverage for .NET

Coverlet is a cross-platform code coverage framework for .NET, with support for line, branch and method coverage. It works with .NET Framework on Windows and .NET Core on all supported platforms. Coverlet documentation reflect the current repository state of the features, not the released ones. Check the changelog to understand if the documented feature you want to use has been officially released. Coverlet is integrated into the Visual Studio Test Platform as a data collector. Coverlet also integrates with the build system to run code coverage after tests. Enabling code coverage is as simple as setting the CollectCoverage property to true. The coverlet tool is invoked by specifying the path to the assembly that contains the unit tests. You also need to specify the test runner and the arguments to pass to the test runner using the --target and --targetargs options respectively.

Tools and libraries to glue C/C++ APIs to high-level languages

CppSharp is a tool and set of libraries that facilitates the usage of native C/C++ code with the .NET ecosystem. It consumes C/C++ header and library files and generates the necessary glue code to surface the native API as a managed API. Such an API can be used to consume an existing native library in your managed code or add managed scripting support to a native codebase. The supported target languages at present are C# and C++/CLI. It can also be used as a library to parse native code into a syntax tree with a rich declaration and type information model. Generates the glue binding code from a syntax tree of the native code. Provides APIs for parsing of C/C++ source code into a syntax tree. Mirrors the Clang's C/C++ AST and type system classes in C# APIs.

    Cycle.js

    Cycle.js

A functional and reactive JavaScript framework for predictable code

Cycle’s core abstraction is your application as a pure function main() where inputs are read effects (sources) from the external world and outputs (sinks) are write effects to affect the external world. These I/O effects in the external world are managed by drivers, plugins that handle DOM effects, HTTP effects, etc. The internals of main() are built using Reactive Programming primitives, which maximizes separation of concerns and provides a fully declarative way of organizing your code. The dataflow is plainly visible in the code, making it readable and traceable. Cycle.js apps are made of pure functions, which means you know they only take inputs and generate predictable outputs, without performing any I/O effects. The building blocks are reactive streams from libraries like xstream, RxJS or Most.js, which greatly simplify code related to events, asynchrony, and errors.

    Derby

    Derby

MVC framework making it easy to write collaborative applications

The Derby MVC framework makes it easy to write realtime, collaborative applications that run in both Node.js and browsers. Derby includes a powerful data synchronization engine called Racer that automatically syncs data among browsers, servers, and a database. Models subscribe to changes on specific objects, enabling granular control of data propagation without defining channels. Racer supports offline usage and conflict resolution out of the box, which greatly simplifies writing multi-user applications. Derby applications load immediately and can be indexed by search engines, because the same templates render on both server and client. In addition, templates define bindings, which instantly update the view when the model changes and vice versa. Derby makes it simple to write applications that load as fast as a search engine, are as interactive as a document editor, and work offline.

    Django Filer

    Django Filer

File and Image Management Application for django

django Filer is a file management application for django that makes handling files and images a breeze. django-filer is a file management application for django. It handles uploading and organizing files and images in contrib.admin. Custom model fields are provided for use in 3rd party apps as a replacement for the default FileField from django. Behind the scenes a ForeignKey to the File model is used. It is possible to define the important part of an image (the subject location) in the admin interface for django-filer images. This is very useful when later resizing and cropping images with easy_thumbnails. The image can then be cropped automatically in a way, that the important part of the image is always visible. You can configure your project to generate canonical URLs for your public files.

    Django friendly finite state machine

    Django friendly finite state machine

Django friendly finite state machine support

Django-fsm adds simple declarative state management for Django models. If you need parallel task execution, view, and background task code reuse over different flows - check my new project Django-view flow. Instead of adding a state field to a Django model and managing its values by hand, you use FSMField and mark model methods with the transition decorator. These methods could contain side effects of the state change. You may also take a look at the Django-fsm-admin project containing a mixin and template tags to integrate Django-fsm state transitions into the Django admin. FSM really helps to structure the code, especially when a new developer comes to the project. FSM is most effective when you use it for some sequential steps. Transition logging support could be achieved with help of django-fsm-log package.

    Dopamine

    Dopamine

Framework for prototyping of reinforcement learning algorithms

Dopamine is a research framework for fast prototyping of reinforcement learning algorithms. It aims to fill the need for a small, easily grokked codebase in which users can freely experiment with wild ideas (speculative research). This first version focuses on supporting the state-of-the-art, single-GPU Rainbow agent (Hessel et al., 2018) applied to Atari 2600 game-playing (Bellemare et al., 2013). Specifically, our Rainbow agent implements the three components identified as most important by Hessel et al., n-step Bellman updates, prioritized experience replay, and distributional reinforcement learning. For completeness, we also provide an implementation of DQN (Mnih et al., 2015). For additional details, please see our documentation. We provide a set of Colaboratory notebooks which demonstrate how to use Dopamine. We provide a website which displays the learning curves for all the provided agents, on all the games.
