Knotter
Interactive designer for Celtic knots
Knotter is a highly configurable interlace designer. Interlace patterns are a kind of design historically used as a decorations in many places and by different cultures, some examples are Celtic knotworks and Islamic interlaces. Knotter aims to allow its user to design such patterns in an intuitive way and to provide easy ways to integrate the result in external general-purpose graphic software. PlaTec
Plate Tectonics simulator
PlaTec is a 2D terrain generator that uses a simplified model of plate tectonics to produce realistic heightmaps in real time. The simulator starts with a flat fractal map and splits it randomly into plates. Plates are moved around the map. If continents of two plates collide, they fold creating mountain belts. If oceanic crust of one plate collides with another plate, subduction occurs resulting in coastal mountain ranges or island chains. This project is part of my Bachelor of Engineering thesis in Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Helsinki, Finland. Double Fractal with 3D Prototype

Double Fractal was first created in the 90s and was the result of a passion for fractals and fractal math. Since then, it has grown including many unique fractals invented by its author. Some fractals were found by chance in 2001 when functions used for artificial intelligence were plotted as fractals. These new fractals were called JP Random Sets. The brilliant environment Lazarus allowed Double Fractal to be ported from Delphi and now Double Fractal can be run on Windows, Linux and MAC OS X. Fractals are infinite complex images defined by a finite definition. We find in fractals a model to understand many different sciences such as economy, health and weather. Many scientists love fractals. Double Fractal is a program that creates fast and easily high complex images. It is based on five different audiovisual instruments made of chaotic and physical modeling algorithms that you can directly control. They have been remotely controlled live by chdh the 27th may 2015. You can play, adapt, and use this audiovisual instrument for yourself. It is based on physical modeling and chaotic algorithms entirely build in the Pure Data software. -

Build animated sequences for RGB Mega-trees
nutcracker is a php based web tool that allows the user to create sophisticated animations on any RGB device. Current RGB targets supported are Megatrees, matrices and Rays. Nutcracker sequences are a four step oricess 1) Go into the tool and define your RGB device, You are prompted for the number of RGB strings you have and how many pixels are on each string 2) You next go into the effects library. Spirals, meteors, butterfly wing and many other effects are available, For each effect you modify the effects parameters. 3) Nutcracker now builds an animated gif of your rgb device with the effect attached. If you dont like the effect, go back to step 2 and modify and try again 4) Finally, you click on the sequencer you want Nutcracker to create for. Currently Nutcracker supports these sequencers: Vixen, LSP, LOR and HLS. -

Bimage
Bimage allows groups to view and generate images of infinite depth
Bimage is combination of javascript and Servlet scripting meant to allow users to explore images with (near-)infinite depth. Bimage uses javascript to create the images and then save them to the database for later use. This allows users to come together to explore and generate complex, depthful images. Bimage is targeted for Google App Engine (GAE), and uses the datastore for a backend, though it should be adaptable to other backends. This project is set up for eclipse using the GAE plugin. The server-side of Bimage is not required for the javascript to function, but the saving of images will always fail (or can be disabled). Follow the link below to see Bimage in action. Reveal fractal patterns in irrational numbers
CloisterWalk can test your favorite number or will let you choose a number from a list. Many provided numbers are known irrationals, others are still uncertain. Enter the number of steps you would like to walk and click the Go button to produce a graph. If a number does not seem interesting, try switching between the square and hexagonal grids. Can you predict what is going to happen next time you click the Go button? Can you figure out why fractal patterns emerge? Can CloisterWalk be used to test numbers for irrationality? Enjoy! -

Complex Renderer
Simple renderer of complex functions including recursive
This program draws a user-defined function from complex plane to RGBA color. Currently, compiled program draws Mandelbrot set, but if you want to draw another function, you need to inherit it from 'Renderer' class in sources, pass it to 'Window' and recompile project. Including 4 versions. The first one was written with C++ and uses CPU 128-bit double. The second does the same, but was written with D language and Derelict3. The third uses GPU (GLSL shaders) to draw Mandelbrot set. It is extremely fast, but uses only 32-bit float. And finally, the fourth works on CPU, but uses arbitrary precision (OpenMP), so it hasn't limit for depth (except rendering time). -
