Open Source XSL (XSLT/XPath/XSL-FO) Formats and Protocols

The goal for this project is to provide translators to allow for interoperability between applications based on ODF (OpenDocument) 1.1 standards and ECMA Office OpenXML based Office applications.

THIS VERSION ON SOURCEFORGE IS NO LONGER SUPPORTED and works only on Windows. The Okapi Framework is a set of components and tools for localization and translation tasks. THE NEWEST JAVA-BASED VERSION OF OKAPI IS AVAILABLE AT: http://okapi.opentag.com/ The new version runs on Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.

Please note that project moved to GitHub: https://github.com/xmlark/xslthl This is an implementation of syntax highlighting as an extension module for XSLT processors (Xalan, Saxon), so if you have e.g. article about programming written in DocBook, code examples can be automatically syntax highlighted during the XSLT processing phase.

The DITA Open Toolkit is an implementation of the OASIS DITA XML Specification. The Toolkit transforms DITA content into many deliverable formats. EVT is a tool that creates web-based diplomatic and/or interpretative editions starting from XML TEI-encoded documents. The current release, EVT v. 1.3, builds upon the feature set of the previous releases and adds support for quite a number of new features: * added a new navigation bar; * added support for translations in multiple languages; * added support VisColl style sheets; * added support for comment and critical <note>s; * added support for verse numbering and visualization; * many bugs fixed! BibteXML is a bibliography schema for XML that expresses the content model of BibTeX – the bibliographic system for use with LaTeX. Stylesheets and conversion tools are provided.

metaf2xml can download, parse and decode aviation routine weather reports (METAR, SPECI, SAO), aerodrome forecasts (TAF), synoptic observations (SYNOP), observations from buoys (BUOY) and meteorological reports from aircrafts (AMDAR). Data can also be taken from decoded BUFR messages. The extracted data can be written as XML or passed to a user-defined function (all done in Perl). It also provides XSLT style sheets to convert the XML to plain language (text, HTML), or XML with different schemas. A web-based (CGI) user interface can be used to download and display up-to-date weather data from NOAA, Ogimet, and other sources.

Extensible 3D (X3D) Graphics is a royalty-free International Standard for real-time interactive 3D graphics on the Web, providing unsurpassed interoperability for 3D communications on the Web. PHP-XML is a class written in php to create, edit, modify and read XML documents.

Small footprint C++ library to extract an XPath 1.0 expression from an XML tree. Uses the TinyXML project to parse XML trees and store intermediate results. Runs on any platform. Optional use of STL. Overhead less than 100KB, including TinyXML.

NAT is a free universal Braille translator. It supports French Braille grade 1, mathematical Braille, Braille layout and reverse transcription. French Braille grade 2, music and other languages are currently under development.

uml2svg is a tool for converting UML diagrams into SVG. The diagrams have to conform with the UML Diagram Interchange 1.0 Specification, which at this time means they have be exported by Poseidon for UML.

7train is an XSLT 2.0 tool for generating METS files from XML input. It builds the basic METS structure so that the user can worry about what is specific to the user's project. Includes examples for generating METS from OAI and CONTENTdm records.

Libronix tools is a collection of conversion filters for Openoffice.org to save in the native Libronix XML file formats. The first such tool is OOo2lbxsfl which is a filter to directly save Openoffice open document format into the Libronix Sermon Files.
