    Mozilla JPEG Encoder Project

    Mozilla JPEG Encoder Project

    Improved JPEG encoder

MozJPEG improves JPEG compression efficiency achieving higher visual quality and smaller file sizes at the same time. It is compatible with the JPEG standard, and the vast majority of the world's deployed JPEG decoders. MozJPEG is compatible with the libjpeg API and ABI. It is intended to be a drop-in replacement for libjpeg. MozJPEG is a strict superset of libjpeg-turbo's functionality. All MozJPEG's improvements can be disabled at run time, and in that case it behaves exactly like libjpeg-turbo. MozJPEG is meant to be used as a library in graphics programs and image processing tools. We include a demo cjpeg command-line tool, but it's not intended for serious use. We encourage authors of graphics programs to use libjpeg's C API and link with MozJPEG library instead. Progressive encoding with "jpegrescan" optimization. It can be applied to any JPEG file (with jpegtran) to losslessly reduce file size.

    Sizzle

    Sizzle

    A sizzlin' hot selector engine

A pure-JavaScript CSS selector engine designed to be easily dropped in to a host library. Browser support may differ between standalone Sizzle and libraries that include Sizzle. Please report issues on Sizzle's issue tracker, rather than the trackers for disparate libraries. In order to build Sizzle, you should have Node.js/npm latest and git 1.7 or later (earlier versions might work OK, but are not tested). For Windows you have to download and install git and Node.js. Mac OS users should install Homebrew. Once Homebrew is installed, run brew install git to install git, and brew install node to install Node.js. Linux/BSD users should use their appropriate package managers to install git and Node.js, or build from source if you swing that way. Workarounds for Internet Explorer 6 are still in the code but the browser is no longer actively tested. Sizzle supports virtually all CSS 3 Selectors, including escaped selectors (.foo\+bar), Unicode selectors, and more.

    google-java-format

    google-java-format

Reformats Java source code to comply with Google Java Style

google-java-format is a program that reformats Java source code to comply with Google Java Style. The formatter can act on whole files, on limited lines, on specific offsets, passing through to standard-out (default) or altered in-place. There is no configurability as to the formatter's algorithm for formatting. This is a deliberate design decision to unify our code formatting on a single format. The formatter can be used in software that generates java to output more legible java code. Just include the library in your maven/gradle/etc. configuration. A google-java-format IntelliJ plugin is available from the plugin repository. To install it, go to your IDE's settings and select the Plugins category. Click the Marketplace tab, search for the google-java-format plugin, and click the Install button.

    shadowsocks-libev

    shadowsocks-libev

    Bug-fix-only libev port of shadowsocks

Shadowsocks-libev is a lightweight secured SOCKS5 proxy for embedded devices and low-end boxes. Shadowsocks-libev is written in pure C and depends on libev. It's designed to be a lightweight implementation of shadowsocks protocol, in order to keep the resource usage as low as possible. Snap is the recommended way to install the latest binaries. You can build shadowsocks-libev and all its dependencies by script. The latest shadowsocks-libev has provided a redir mode. You can configure your Linux-based box or router to proxy all TCP traffic transparently, which is handy if you use an OpenWRT-powered router. Although shadowsocks-libev can handle thousands of concurrent connections nicely, we still recommend setting up your server's firewall rules to limit connections from each user. We strongly encourage you to install shadowsocks-libev from jessie-backports-sloppy.

    Mercure

    Mercure

Server-sent live updates, protocol and reference implementation

Mercure is an open protocol for real-time communications designed to be fast, reliable and battery-efficient. It is a modern and convenient replacement for both the WebSocket API and the higher-level libraries and services relying on it. Mercure is especially useful to add streaming and asynchronous capabilities to REST and GraphQL APIs. Because it is a thin layer on top of HTTP and SSE, Mercure is natively supported by modern web browsers, mobile applications, and IoT devices. A free (as in beer, and as in speech) reference server, as well as a hosted service, are available. Designed for REST and GraphQL. Private updates (JWT authorization). Presence API and subscription events. Event store. Compatible with serverless, PHP, and the like. Supports end-to-end encryption. Reading the documentation is an excellent way to discover Mercure.

    ktlint

    ktlint

An anti-bikeshedding Kotlin linter with built-in formatter

No configuration, which means no decisions to make, nothing to argue about and no special files to manage. While this might sound extreme, keep in mind that ktlint tries to capture (reflect) official code style from kotlinlang.org and Android Kotlin Style Guide (+ we respect your .editorconfig and support additional ruleset|s). Built-in formatter. So that you wouldn't have to fix all style violations by hand. Customizable output. plain (+ plain?group_by_file), JSON, HTML and check style reporters are available out-of-the-box. It's also easy to create your own. A single executable jar with all dependencies included. ktlint is a single binary with both linter & formatter included. All you need is to drop it in (no need to get overwhelmed while choosing among dozens of code style options).

    NewsBlur

    NewsBlur

NewsBlur is a personal news reader that brings people together

NewsBlur is an open-source, full-stack RSS news reader and social reading platform with a hosted service and native clients. The backend crawls and parses feeds at scale, stores stories, and pushes updates to users in near real time, while the web app and mobile apps provide rich reading experiences. Its hallmark is “training”: you can tell the system what you like or dislike—authors, keywords, tags—and it prioritizes stories accordingly, surfacing what matters most. Features like saved stories, tagging, full-text search, and offline reading make it practical for heavy information consumers. Social elements allow sharing to your own “blurblog,” following friends, and discovering curated content, which turns a solitary reader into a lightweight network. Architecturally, it demonstrates a production-ready aggregation pipeline, a multi-tenant web app, and cross-platform clients living in one coherent codebase.

    Awesome Blazor

    Awesome Blazor

Resources for Blazor, a .NET web framework using C#/Razor

Blazor lets you build interactive web UIs using C# instead of JavaScript. Blazor apps are composed of reusable web UI components implemented using C#, HTML, and CSS. Both client and server code is written in C#, allowing you to share code and libraries. Blazor is a feature of ASP.NET, the popular web development framework that extends the .NET developer platform with tools and libraries for building web apps. Blazor can run your client-side C# code directly in the browser, using WebAssembly. Because it's real .NET running on WebAssembly, you can re-use code and libraries from server-side parts of your application. Alternatively, Blazor can run your client logic on the server. Client UI events are sent back to the server using SignalR, a real-time messaging framework. Once execution completes, the required UI changes are sent to the client and merged into the DOM.

    Aztec

    Aztec

A reusable native Android rich text editor component

Aztec (which extends EditText) is a rich-text editor component for writing HTML documents in Android. You can check the minimum Android version supported by looking at the minSdkVersion configuration within build.gradle. There is an optional list type you can enable in the editor. In addition to ordered and unordered lists you can use task list. A task list is an unordered list that shows and saves checkboxes instead of bullets. By default, Aztec allows nested blocks. In certain cases, this doesn't have to be the preferred behavior. There is an option to disable nested blocks. When switched, this editor will always add media and horizontal rules after the currently selected block, not in the middle of it. Aztec now supports placeholders to draw views that are not natively supported by the EditText and Spannable API. The functionality creates a span in the visual editor and draws an Android view over it.
