    Pharos

    Pharos

RTOS for Secure, Safe and Real-Time Systems

Pharos is a free open-source RTOS for secure, safe and real-time systems with the following characteristics: - Memory and enhanced time partitioning (TSP) - Native support for sporadic, periodic and aperiodic threads - Fixed-priority preemptive scheduler - Execution time protection (threads are prevented from executing for more time than they are configured to) - Small size (full image has ~100 to 300KiB text, ~30KiB data) - Hard real-time determinism - Fast critical sections -...

    microDispatch

    Microcontroller Task Scheduler

Super lightweight task scheduler aimed at 8 bit AVR ATmega micro-controllers (perfect for Arduino), although it can easily be used on other hardware like Microchip PIC. It uses simple round-robin scheduling so no priority levels can be set. You choose the time interval by calling dispatchTick(), this is usually in a timer interrupt. Range for number of tasks: 0 to 255 tasks Range for delay: 0 to 65535 ticks Each task only uses 5 byte of RAM. The one task LED blink example only uses...

    SC-REX

    SC-REX

    Scheduler for reconfigurable hardware

SC-REX stands for "SCheduler for REconfigurable devices on linuX". It is a scheduler for heterogeneous multicore platforms where some cores can be dynamically reconfigured at run-time (e.g., VLIWs processors that can change issue width).

    qtOS

Tiny operating system for running HCFSM-based systems

qtOS is an operating system for running systems of finite-state machines. The system kernel is a task scheduler that runs processes' transitions at every cycle. Each task is activated either to be run in parallel (fork) with other active processes in the system or subordinated to the caller task, thus blocking it and creating a hierarchy of tasks. Execution of processes can be preemptive or non-preemptive and, among those with the same priority, a round-robin turn is performed. This...

    Partially Reconfigurable Hardware

Framework for Adaptive Hardware Concurrent Systems with DPR-FPGAs

This project introduces new FPGA architectural tools and Linux OS modifications that aid in supporting Dynamic Partial Reconfiguration (DPR) on FPGAs for concurrent control. It shows that control systems benefit from hardware concurrency, meaning that by moving the control intelligence into hardware, the negative effects inherent to threads and their scheduler are minimized. This leaves software with the role of a high-level administrator rather than an executor, thereby eliminating unnecessary bottlenecks. ...

    SoftLed

    LED Animation Firmware for Maple/Arduino

The system uses internal databases to store led information such as pin number, target brightness, time at which the brightness should be reached and current program number. When the target is reached the led looks for the next program and get new time and brightness. Leds and programs can be manipulated on the fly, in the program or from serialusb. A very simple task scheduler call the update of leds every 5ms, leaving plenty of processor for other tasks.
