sicp-pdf is a LaTeX-based PDF version of Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs (SICP), the classic textbook by Harold Abelson, Gerald Jay Sussman, and Julie Sussman. It builds upon the earlier Unofficial Texinfo Format (UTF), which itself was derived from the MIT Press HTML version, but enhances the project by fully converting the source into LaTeX. This conversion allows for high-quality typesetting, improved design options, and the integration of OpenType and Unicode features through XeTeX. The repository contains both Texinfo and LaTeX sources, with automated scripts to keep them in sync during builds. Users can recompile the book locally with a recent TeX Live distribution and the necessary fonts, while Inkscape is required for SVG-to-PDF image conversions. ClassWeb was designed to easily create & control class websites without learning HTML or FTP. MySQL & PHP based, this is the open source version of what we've used for over 3 years (330 classes/quarter) at Social Sciences Computing, UCLA.

The scanned manuscript can be viewed under Ave976 on wwww.avesta-archive.com In the manuscript long [i] and long [u] do not differ, as well as both short and long [o]. Nevertheless, long [u] and short [o] are mapped in the font. Their outlines follow the script style of the manuscript. The letters for [θ] and [x] have two different shapes in the manuscript, so I have added one of each of them into the Private Use Area. Most of ligatures encountered in the manuscript have been mapped as well in the Private Use Area range. The punctuation of the manuscript includes only two signs from the Avestan Unicode range: the centered period and the so called "large two dots over one dot", so only these two signs were mapped in the font.
