Export data from "binary" to "data" .csv from TMS compatible loggers
A script to export / convert data from a "binary" .csv to a "data" .csv file for TOMST TMS model 91, 92 and 94 compatible loggers. If some data has been not correctly exported using the TOMST Lolly software, this script will be able to recover all the data saved in the "binary" .csv file and save it as a "data" .csv file. Simply select all the "binary" files you want to export the information from and the data will be exported to corresponding "data" .csv files. -

BEAST is a tool dedicated to assess political goals of woody bioenergy
The BioEnergy Allocation and Simulation Tool (BEAST) is a tool dedicated to assess political goals of woody bioenergy production in the context of available biomass potentials and corresponding economic and ecological criteria on a regional level. It is a useful tool in participative decision making processes by iterative simulation and visualization of complex issues. BEAST is a data- and model-driven Decision Support System (DSS) evaluating woody biomass potentials from forests, hedges and trees outside forests as well as short rotation coppice (SRC). The latter one is modelled spatially explicit. This opens the possibility to identify prefered areas for SRC production under different restrictions and goals. Forest wood and wood from outside forests are treated only aggregated. -

The model is not very complete, but the main intention is to develop a library to be coupled with other models and use the full-mixed model as a testing version. A lot of things can be improved. mesoFON is an individual-based mangrove forest model. It is a Java implementation of the KiWi model done with RePast Simphony. It contains several new features: (1) You can add up to 10 species via the GUI. However, in principle, the number of species to be included programmatically is unlimited. (2) You can use a variety of growth functions via typing them in as a string on the GUI. (3) The model is transparent, sinc it comes with the Eclipse workbench of RePast. -
