ToxTrac is a free Windows program optimized for tracking animals. It uses an advanced tracking algorithm and includes Preprocessing, Background subtraction, Thresholding, Post-processing, and Filters. It is robust; very fast; and can handle one or several animals in one or several environments. The program provides useful statistics as output. ToxTrac can be used for fish, insects, rodents, etc.

Fuzzy Ecospace Modelling (FEM) is an R-based program for quantifying and comparing functional disparity, using a fuzzy set theory-based machine learning approach. FEM clusters n-dimensional matrices of functional traits (ecospace matrices – here called the Training Matrix) into functional groups and converts them into fuzzy functional groups using fuzzy discriminant analysis (Lin and Chen 2004 – see main text for more information).

The program simulates a 2D world populated with "animals" which struggle for food, reproduce and may also eat each other. The subject of evolution is their behavior, which may become quite complex.
