UIBM (= Universal Individual-Based Model) is an agent-based simulation/3d-dvisualization of the dynamics within multispecies plant communities of Northwest Europe, parameterized from databases using universal scaling laws.

The PAMGUARD project develops software to help detect, locate and classify marine mammals using Passive Acoustic Monitoring. This project is being migrated to github at https://github.com/PAMGuard. Please go there for the latest updates. thank you sourceforge for hosting us for all these years.

An easy to use application to design your kitchen garden or your house farm. Helps you plan your plants ( vegetables, fruit trees, herbs, flowers ) so that it respects the rules of crop rotation and companion planting. Based on square foot gardening. Requires Java 8.

VLE is a multi-modeling and simulation environment to study complex dynamic systems. VLE is based on the discrete event specification DEVS. and it implements the DSDE formalism (A merge of Dynamic Structure DEVS, DSDEVS, with Parallel DEVS, PDEVS). VLE provides a complete set of C++ libraries, called VFL (VLE Foundation Libraries), to develop DEVS models, to gets results of simulations, to launch simulation on cluster. The models can be developed with the DEVS formalism or with the classical...

The Hydroponic Automation Platform Initiative (HAPI) develops and provides hardware and software components for automating food production using hydroponic, aquaponics, and precision agriculture techniques. High-yield production in urban settings is one of the primary goals. Artifacts include hardware design (mainly Arduino-based), firmware, management software and reporting modules.

The aim of the project is create a learning tools for students. If children become aware of consumption, perhaps they will be able to influence and affect a larger system of the school. Within smart energies, the goal of the monitoring system is the control and management, even remotely, ofconsumption and production of energy users are characterized by complex energy systems. Requires DOG - The DOG Operating Ground

Plantlore is a botanical occurence database being written in Java. It also has a BIOCASE Provider software based web interface.

A Java system to decode the WMO BUFR format for weather data and translate it to XML.

powerPlant is a plant modelling tool based on parametric plant descriptions, producing highly detailed models that can be exported to 3ds. Deriving similar plants is a matter of 1 click! Complete scenes can be composited with the integrated scene editor.

EDAS2 is a web-based environmental quality data management and decision support framework

DLESE (Digital Library for Earth System Education) is a community-supported digital library dedicated to the collection, enhancement, and distribution of materials that facilitate learning about the Earth. Sponsored by the US National Science Foundation.

OpenAMIS (Open AgroMeteorological Information System) is customable free and open software for websites providing agrometeorological information to farmers and agroindustry.

GridSweeper makes it easy to perform batch runs of scientific simulation programs on computational grids/distributed resource management systems.

Framework for storing and editing Forestry-related XML data, with a specialised graphical interface for each object type. Plug-in API for adding functionality. Coded in Java, uses WebStart for distribution, swing GUI, ~100k lines of code.

DIET Agents is a lightweight, scalable and robust multi-agent platform in Java. It is especially suitable for rapidly developing P2P prototype applications and/or adaptive, distributed applications that use bottom-up, nature-inspired techniques.

MBAS -- Macro-Biological Analysis System -- provides a set of interoperable tools for aid in the analysis of biological data. The backing database is currently PostgreSQL and the primary language is C, though some data entry tools are written in Java.

The class libraries here provide infrastructure for creating simulations of low energy nuclear physics experiments, as well as some useful working programs that do simple simulations and analysis of experiments performed with magnetic spectrographs.

An online database and cross-platform, game-like client where gardeners/farmers (small or large scale) can log their actions and measurements (such as weather, yield, current plant size). Any user can then play it back visually, or play with the data and see a simulation inferred from the knowledge database, or calculate an optimal design within given constraints, inferred from the knowledge available at that time. This is both a tool for playing, in order to entertain and inspire...
