Qgama is a Qt based user interface for GNU Gama adjustment of geodetic networks in which XML input is complemented with a database. The script requires as the input the areas of the grain profiles measured grain-by-grain on planar sections and does not require previous experience with Python programming language (see documentation below and FAQ). Parse and decode METAR, TAF, SYNOP, BUOY, AMDAR and write data as XML
metaf2xml can download, parse and decode aviation routine weather reports (METAR, SPECI, SAO), aerodrome forecasts (TAF), synoptic observations (SYNOP), observations from buoys (BUOY) and meteorological reports from aircrafts (AMDAR). Data can also be taken from decoded BUFR messages. The extracted data can be written as XML or passed to a user-defined function (all done in Perl). It also provides XSLT style sheets to convert the XML to plain language (text, HTML), or XML with different schemas. A web-based (CGI) user interface can be used to download and display up-to-date weather data from NOAA, Ogimet, and other sources. -

GPS Date Converter (GDC) is a program to convert six different date formats, including: (1) Decimal year, (2) Year, Month, Day, (3) Year, Day of year, (4) GPS Week, Day of week, (5) Julian date, and (6) Modified Julian date. Raman Data Search and Storage (RDSS) software was developed as an analytical tool for a fast and accurate identification of unknown minerals by comparison of their spectra with the indexed library of data. A search function was implemented to enable users to find a specific peak value. Using the asterisk character (*) as a placeholder for one or more unknown peak value(s), the software will return the best match(es). Besides the search utility by the Raman band positions, which was proven to be priceless in the interpretation of Raman spectra, the RDSS software gives the user the ability to display and inspect the Raman spectra quickly and very efficiently. Users can zoom into the Raman spectrum, shift in any direction the wavenumber and the intensity axes, and if any part of the spectral display is clicked, that region will be highlighted and the specific wavenumber returned. A photo for every sample entry stored in the database is also available. -

panFMP is a generic framework suitable for harvested XML metadata that is searchable through Apache Lucene without any additional RDBMS.
