    BlitzTree

A fast, native disk-space treemap for macOS, in the spirit of WizTree

BlitzTree is a native macOS disk-space analyzer designed to visualize large file systems quickly through interactive treemaps. Its Rust scanning engine can process millions of files while the SwiftUI and AppKit interface remains responsive. Users can switch between cushion-shaded rectangular treemaps and ring-based directory visualization. A synchronized outline view helps identify large folders and files, which can then be revealed in Finder or moved to Trash. The Clean Up panel detects common disposable data such as caches, node_modules, build outputs, and Xcode artifacts. Optional Claude Code or Codex integration can propose cleanup candidates, while BlitzTree itself enforces protected-path and confirmation rules. The app currently requires Apple Silicon and macOS 14 or newer and includes a read-only JSON CLI for scripting.
