DictionaryForMIDs is an dictionary application for cell phones, tablets and PCs. The dictionary is completely installed on the device ("offline dictionary"), i.e. after installation there is no need for an internet connection. DictionaryForMIDs can be set up for any dictionary, for any language, or for any other lookup-purpose. The DfM-Creator tool is used to set up a dictionary for use with DictionaryForMIDs.

Cornucopia is an Offline Dictionary for Mobile Phones/PDAs and similar resource constrained devices. It works on anything that supports MIDP 1.0 (j2me) or above.

Постоянно показывает на экране английское слово и его перевод, при показе слова может воспроизвести его произношение при наличии аудиофайла. Транскрипцию слова и аудиофайл берет из словаря в dsl формате (протестировано с Longman Pronunciation Dictionary). Написана на Java, платформа безразлична. Поэтому и писалась, т.к. для UNIX like систем такой программы мною было не найдено.

Atlantida is an open source multilingual dictionary written in Java. It can translate words from one language to another and pronounce them. As of version alpha 0.15, Atlantida uses XDXF dictionary format.

The Japanese to English Dictionary is written in java, and so will require that you have the JRE installed prior to its installation & use. It is a hobbyist project of mine intended to address my admittedly narrow needs, and so will fall short of yours. If you have any suggestions for improvements, please let me know! This open source application would not be possible without the Japanese-English dictionary and kanji files assembled by Jim Breen; it would also have taken a great deal more effort without the BaseX API and the izPack installer. Currently only works for Windows, and is not yet fully tested. If you encounter problems, please report them.

This is a Korean to English and English to Korean program utilizing Naver and Daum APIs. Additional languages will be supported in the future.

"Al-Lamy" our new educational program for conjugating Arabic verbs. It counters the problems observed in the other Arabic conjugation systems by using a dictionary of 8000 verbs and by implementing the grammatical rules of 70 verbal classes that cover their declinations. Al-Lamy displays conjugations and characteristics of Arabic verbs in a user-friendly interface and tests show that it performs in a satisfactory way.

HanYu Dictionary is a small, simple and easy to use 2 ways Chinese-English dictionary. It also supports pinyin and tradition Chinese characters search. It uses CEDict as a dictionary definition.
