Medict is a free, open-source desktop dictionary application designed for offline word lookup and vocabulary management. It supports MDict and StarDict dictionaries, allowing users to combine different reference collections. The software includes an English-Chinese dictionary with approximately 50,000 common entries and offers a larger downloadable dataset. Users can search multiple dictionaries simultaneously using prefix suggestions and fuzzy matching. Dictionary entries can display embedded images, audio, fonts, and custom styles.
