Minima
Minima is a one-size-fits-all Jekyll theme for writers
It's Jekyll's default (and first) theme. It's what you get when you run jekyll new. Minima has been scaffolded by the jekyll new-theme command and therefore has all the necessary files and directories to have a new Jekyll site up and running with zero-configuration. From Minima v3 onwards, the base layout is named base.html instead of default.html to avoid confusing new users into assuming that name holds a special status. Users migrating from older versions with customized _layouts/default.html are advised to rename their copy to _layouts/base.html. Migrating users with additional customized layouts may either update front matter references to the former default.html layout or create a new default.html layout referencing the current base.html, whichever route is the easiest. -

Jekyll Pure Liquid Heading Anchors
A GitHub Pages compatible way of adding anchors to your headings
GitHub Pages can't run custom Jekyll plug-ins so when generating anchors for your headings (i.e. h1 - h6), you're stuck with JavaScript solutions that will inject anchors. But what if your users don't have JavaScript enabled on their browsers? If you're building a static website, why not make your anchors static as well? GitHub Pages doesn't support custom Jekyll plug-ins, is this plug-in whitelisted? This is all written in Liquid so need for any whitelisting. Worried about how weird or ugly a plug-in's CSS may be? These projects only generate semantically sane HTML for you to style. No need to worry about learning Ruby to edit a plug-in or getting your edits approved. It’s all Liquid, just change whatever HTML you want generated. -

Draper adds an object-oriented layer of presentation logic to your Rails application. Without Draper, this functionality might have been tangled up in procedural helpers or adding bulk to your models. With Draper decorators, you can wrap your models with presentation-related logic to organize and test this layer of your app much more effectively. Imagine your application has an Article model. With Draper, you'd create a corresponding ArticleDecorator. The decorator wraps the model, and deals only with presentational concerns. In the controller, you decorate the article before handing it off to the view. In the view, you can use the decorator in exactly the same way as you would have used the model. But whenever you start needing logic in the view or start thinking about a helper method, you can implement a method on the decorator instead. -
