AllenNLP
An open-source NLP research library, built on PyTorch
AllenNLP makes it easy to design and evaluate new deep learning models for nearly any NLP problem, along with the infrastructure to easily run them in the cloud or on your laptop. AllenNLP includes reference implementations of high quality models for both core NLP problems (e.g. semantic role labeling) and NLP applications (e.g. textual entailment). AllenNLP supports loading "plugins" dynamically. A plugin is just a Python package that provides custom registered classes or additional allennlp subcommands. There is ecosystem of open source plugins, some of which are maintained by the AllenNLP team here at AI2, and some of which are maintained by the broader community. AllenNLP will automatically find any official AI2-maintained plugins that you have installed, but for AllenNLP to find personal or third-party plugins you've installed, you also have to create either a local plugins file named .allennlp_plugins in the directory where you run the allennlp command. -

Auto-PyTorch
Automatic architecture search and hyperparameter optimization
While early AutoML frameworks focused on optimizing traditional ML pipelines and their hyperparameters, another trend in AutoML is to focus on neural architecture search. To bring the best of these two worlds together, we developed Auto-PyTorch, which jointly and robustly optimizes the network architecture and the training hyperparameters to enable fully automated deep learning (AutoDL). Auto-PyTorch is mainly developed to support tabular data (classification, regression) and time series data (forecasting). The newest features in Auto-PyTorch for tabular data are described in the paper "Auto-PyTorch Tabular: Multi-Fidelity MetaLearning for Efficient and Robust AutoDL" (see below for bibtex ref). ChainerCV: a Library for Deep Learning in Computer Vision
ChainerCV is a collection of tools to train and run neural networks for computer vision tasks using Chainer. In ChainerCV, we define the object detection task as a problem of, given an image, bounding box-based localization and categorization of objects. Bounding boxes in an image are represented as a two-dimensional array of shape (R,4), where R is the number of bounding boxes and the second axis corresponds to the coordinates of bounding boxes. ChainerCV supports dataset loaders, which can be used to easily index examples with list-like interfaces. Dataset classes whose names end with BboxDataset contain annotations of where objects locate in an image and which categories they are assigned to. These datasets can be indexed to return a tuple of an image, bounding boxes and labels. ChainerCV provides several network implementations that carry out object detection. -

We introduce a guide to help deep learning practitioners understand and manipulate convolutional neural network architectures. The guide clarifies the relationship between various properties (input shape, kernel shape, zero padding, strides and output shape) of convolutional, pooling and transposed convolutional layers, as well as the relationship between convolutional and transposed convolutional layers. Relationships are derived for various cases, and are illustrated in order to make them intuitive. -

darts is a Python library for easy manipulation and forecasting of time series. It contains a variety of models, from classics such as ARIMA to deep neural networks. The models can all be used in the same way, using fit() and predict() functions, similar to scikit-learn. The library also makes it easy to backtest models, combine the predictions of several models, and take external data into account. Darts supports both univariate and multivariate time series and models. The ML-based models can be trained on potentially large datasets containing multiple time series, and some of the models offer a rich support for probabilistic forecasting. We recommend to first setup a clean Python environment for your project with at least Python 3.7 using your favorite tool (conda, venv, virtualenv with or without virtualenvwrapper). -

Deep Daze
Simple command line tool for text to image generation
Simple command-line tool for text to image generation using OpenAI's CLIP and Siren (Implicit neural representation network). In true deep learning fashion, more layers will yield better results. Default is at 16, but can be increased to 32 depending on your resources. Technique first devised and shared by Mario Klingemann, it allows you to prime the generator network with a starting image, before being steered towards the text. Simply specify the path to the image you wish to use, and optionally the number of initial training steps. We can also feed in an image as an optimization goal, instead of only priming the generator network. Deepdaze will then render its own interpretation of that image. The regular mode for texts only allows 77 tokens. If you want to visualize a full story/paragraph/song/poem, set create_story to True. -

To date tensorflow comes in two different packages, namely tensorflow and tensorflow-gpu, whether you want to install the framework with CPU-only or GPU support, respectively. NVIDIA Drivers and CuDNN must be installed and configured before hand. Please refer to the official Tensorflow documentation for further details. Since version 0.9 Theano introduced the libgpuarray in the stable release (it was previously only available in the development version). The goal of libgpuarray is (from the documentation) make a common GPU ndarray (n dimensions array) that can be reused by all projects that is as future proof as possible, while keeping it easy to use for simple need/quick test. The easiest way to get (most) these is to use an all-in-one installer such as Anaconda from Continuum. These are available for multiple architectures.
