SOPS
Simple and flexible tool for managing secrets
sops is an editor of encrypted files that supports YAML, JSON, ENV, INI and BINARY formats and encrypts with AWS KMS, GCP KMS, Azure Key Vault, age, and PGP. For the adventurous, unstable features are available in the develop branch, which you can install from source. To use sops as a library, take a look at the decrypt package. We rewrote Sops in Go to solve a number of deployment issues, but the Python branch still exists under python-sops. We will keep maintaining it for a while, and you can still pip install sops, but we strongly recommend you use the Go version instead. If you're using AWS KMS, create one or multiple master keys in the IAM console and export them, comma separated, in the SOPS_KMS_ARN env variable. It is recommended to use at least two master keys in different regions. If you want to use PGP, export the fingerprints of the public keys, comma separated, in the SOPS_PGP_FP env variable. -

Easy and fast file sharing from the command-line
Easy and fast file sharing from the command-line. This code contains the server with everything you need to create your own instance. Transfer.sh currently supports the s3 (Amazon S3), gdrive (Google Drive), storj (Storj) providers, and local file system (local). For easy deployment, we've created a Docker container. For the usage with a AWS S3 Bucket, you just need to specify the following options, provider, aws-access-key, aws-secret-key, bucket, and s3-region. If you specify the s3-region, you don't need to set the endpoint URL since the correct endpoint will used automatically. To use a custom non-AWS S3 provider, you need to specify the endpoint as defined from your cloud provider. In preparation you need to create an access grant (or copy it from the uplink configuration) and a bucket. To get started, login to your account and go to the Access Grant Menu and start the Wizard on the upper right. -

Compare Backup Drive Hashes
A spreadsheet to aid in detecting ransomware-corrupted files
This project offers an Excel spreadsheet, available for download through the Files tab (above). The spreadsheet allows the user to compare two sets of file hashes, such as the hashes for files on two different data drives. The spreadsheet's Instructions tab provides step-by-step guidance through that comparison process. The purpose of the file hash comparison is to identify files whose contents have changed. For example, the files on an up-to-date data drive may be compared against the files previously found on that data drive, or on a backup drive. Identifying changed files may be useful as a precaution against ransomware. The Support tab (above) links to a blog post discussing uses of the spreadsheet for that purpose. An Android application for encryption and decryption
It is a simple android application for encryption and decryption of files using passphrase. Supported API levels are in the range 10 (min) and 17 (max). To encrypt a file, what you need is to share the file to "DCrypt" and enter a passphrase. To decrypt the file, you have to share the encrypted file to the application and enter the passphrase. Obviously the passphrase for encryption and decryption should be the same. Note that the file shredding is disabled by default. That means the original file won't be deleted even if you encrypt it. To enable file shredding, go to Settings-> Enable Shredding. For best results when doing a build with AWS KMS integration, do not install aws-c-common directly. Most of today's cryptographic standards will be broken with tomorrow's computational power. Azrar is a user-friendly tool for the encryption/decryption of single files - preferably compressed archives - addressing long-term data secrecy. Thus, Azrar provides the possibility to use webspace for secure data transfer between two communication/transfer partners (encryption only, network transfer not yet included in current version). Data in encrypted files are secret/private indefinitely. To achieve long-term data secrecy, Azrar differs from other approaches in terms of not to rely on effective computational deficiencies. It combines a one-time pad with a stream cipher method using the strong cryptographic hash function (family) Skein. Azrar fulfills business requirements for secure data transfer and supports several operating systems natively. It does not use a runtime environment.
