The strace project has been moved to https://strace.io. strace is a diagnostic, debugging and instructional userspace tracer for Linux. It is used to monitor and tamper with interactions between userspace processes and the Linux kernel, which include system calls, signal deliveries, and changes of process state. The operation of strace is made possible by the kernel feature known as ptrace.

Flipper is a platform for debugging iOS, Android and React Native apps. Visualize, inspect, and control your apps from a simple desktop interface. Use Flipper as is or extend it using the plugin API. Flipper aims to be your number one companion for mobile app development on iOS and Android. Therefore, we provide a bunch of useful tools including a log viewer, interactive layout inspector, and network inspector. Flipper is built as a platform. In addition to using the tools already included, you can create your own plugins to visualize and debug data from your mobile apps. Flipper takes care of sending data back and forth, calling functions, and listening for events on the mobile app. Both Flipper's desktop app and native mobile SDKs are open-source and MIT licensed. This enables you to see and understand how we are building plugins, and of course join the community and help improve Flipper. We are excited to see what you will build on this platform.

scanmem is a debugging utility designed to isolate the address of an arbitrary variable in an executing process. scanmem simply needs to be told the pid of the process and the value of the variable at several different times. After several scans of the process, scanmem isolates the position of the variable and allows you to modify its value.

Bot Framework Emulator is a desktop application that allows bot developers to test and debug bots, either locally or remotely. Using the Emulator, you can chat with your bot and inspect the messages that your bot sends and receives. The Emulator displays messages as they would appear in a web chat UI and logs JSON requests and responses as you exchange messages with your bot. Before you deploy your bot to the cloud, run it locally and test it using the Emulator. You can test your bot using the Emulator even if you haven't yet created it with Azure Bot Service or configured it to run on any channels. Before connecting your bot to the Bot Framework Emulator, you need to run your bot locally. You can use Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code to run your bot, or use the command line. When you are developing behind a corporate proxy, the Emulator will use the configured environment variables HTTP_PROXY and HTTPS_PROXY, which specify the proxy URL route for HTTP and HTTPs requests.

Delve is a debugger for the Go programming language. The goal of the project is to provide a simple, full featured debugging tool for Go. Delve should be easy to invoke and easy to use. Chances are if you're using a debugger, things aren't going your way. With that in mind, Delve should stay out of your way as much as possible. Delve aims to be a very simple and powerful tool, but can be confusing if you're not used to using a source level debugger in a compiled language. GAPID is a developer tool for recording and inspecting calls made by an application to the graphics driver. Once a capture of a target application has been made, GAPID lets you disconnect from the target and inspect all the graphics commands made by the application. GAPID is able to replay the command stream, letting you visualize the frame composition by stepping through each command and inspecting the driver state at any point in the stream. Replay also supports modifications, allowing you to adjust command parameters and shader source to instantly see what effect this would have on the frame. GAPID can also visualize the textures, shaders and draw call geometry used by the application.

Bagel is a little native iOS network debugger. It's not a proxy debugger so you don't have to mess around with certificates, proxy settings etc. As long as your iOS devices and your Mac are in the same network, you can view the network traffic of your apps separated by the devices or simulators. Most basic usage is to start Bagel iOS before any network operation. Since Bagel exposes every request info to the public it would be better if you disable it for the store versions. By default, Bagel gets your project name and device information. The desktop client uses this information to separate projects and devices. You can configure these if you wish. Bagel framework communicates with the desktop client by using Bonjour protocol. You can also configure these Netservice parameters.

James is an HTTP Proxy and Monitor that enables developers to view and intercept requests made from the browser. It is an open-source alternative to the popular developer tool Charles. James is built with hoxy, electron and react. Use wildcards in the "url to map" field, put a "*" between two adjacent slashes. This is a package to integrate PHP Debug Bar with Laravel. It includes a ServiceProvider to register the debugbar and attach it to the output. You can publish assets and configure it through Laravel. It bootstraps some Collectors to work with Laravel and implements a couple custom DataCollectors, specific for Laravel. It is configured to display Redirects and (jQuery) Ajax Requests. DebugBar is very easy to use and you can add it to any of your projects in no time. The easiest way is using the render() functions. Use the DebugBar only in development. It can slow the application down (because it has to gather data). So when experiencing slowness, try disabling some of the collectors. You can show all queries, including binding + timing, show information about the current Route, show the currently loaded views, show the Laravel version and Environment, etc.
