    KeyDB

    KeyDB

    A Multithreaded Fork of Redis

KeyDB is an incredibly fast NoSQL database, a high performance fork of Redis that can perform up to 5X faster than Redis and can be used as a drop in alternative. KeyDB is focused on multithreading, memory efficiency, and high throughput, with features and capabilities not readily available with Redis. KeyDB has gained quite a reputation for its exceptional performance and features. Apart from multithreading it offers such features as multi-master replication, persistence capabilities, horizontal and vertical scalability and direct backup to AWS S3 right out of the box. KeyDB remains fully compatible with Redis protocol, modules, and scripts, including the atomicity guarantees for scripts and transactions. Keeping in sync with Redis development, it is a superb drop in replacement for existing Redis deployments.

    Laravel app

    Laravel app

Add tags and taggable behaviour to your Laravel app

There are a lot of quality tagging packages out there. Most of them offer the same thing: creating tags, associating them with models and some functions to easily retrieve models with certain tags. But in our projects at Spatie we need more functionality. Last week we released our own - very opinionated - tagging package aptly called laravel-tags. It comes with batteries included. Out of the box it has support for translating tags, multiple tag types and sorting capabilities. After the package is installed (be sure to check the requirements first) the only thing you have to do is to add the HasTags trait to an Eloquent model to make it taggable. But we didn't stop with the regular tagging capabilities you find in every package. Laravel Tags comes with batteries included. Out of the box it has support for translating tags, multiple tag types and sorting capabilities.

    PouchDB

    PouchDB

    The Database that Syncs!

PouchDB is an open source, pocket-sized JavaScript database that conveniently synchronizes with servers when it gets back online. It’s inspired by Apache CouchDB, so it’s designed to run well within the browser. PouchDB was created to enable web developers to build applications that will work just as well offline as they do online. It enables applications to store data locally while offline, and once back online it will synchronize with CouchDB and compatible servers, so your data will always be in sync. PouchDB works on various browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari and more. It’s very lightweight and though some programming knowledge is required, is still very easy to learn.

Apache ShardingSphere aiming at reasonably making full use of the computation and storage capacity of existed database in distributed system, rather than a totally new database. As the cornerstone of enterprises, relational database still takes a huge market share. Therefore, we prefer to focus on its increment instead of a total overturn. Apache ShardingSphere begin to focus on pluggable architecture from version 5.x, features can be embedded into project flexibility.
