sf is an R package that implements “simple features” (standardized vector spatial data) for R. It allows spatial vector data (points, lines, polygons etc.) to be represented as records in data frames (or tibbles) with geometry list columns, and performs spatial operations (geometry operations, coordinate reference system transformations, reading/writing spatial data, integration with spatial databases etc.). graphICs is used to visualize IC-layout-data from GDS II-files. It reads a stream of GDS II-records, optimizes it by removing objects smaller than a user-defined minimal size an writes it to Asymptote-code. This code can be translated via Asymptote to PDF, PNG or other formats. The output can be specified to be printed on an A-format paper, portrait or landscape, top/right, center or bottom/left align.
