    Bayesian Optimization

    Bayesian Optimization

Python implementation of global optimization with gaussian processes

This is a constrained global optimization package built upon bayesian inference and gaussian process, that attempts to find the maximum value of an unknown function in as few iterations as possible. This technique is particularly suited for optimization of high cost functions, situations where the balance between exploration and exploitation is important. More detailed information, other advanced features, and tips on usage/implementation can be found in the examples folder. Follow the basic...

    The PyPlot module for Julia

    The PyPlot module for Julia

Plotting for Julia based on matplotlib.pyplot

This module provides a Julia interface to the Matplotlib plotting library from Python, and specifically to the matplotlib.pyplot module. PyPlot uses the Julia PyCall package to call Matplotlib directly from Julia with little or no overhead (arrays are passed without making a copy). (See also PythonPlot.jl for a version of PyPlot.jl using the alternative PythonCall.jl package.) This package takes advantage of Julia's multimedia I/O API to display plots in any Julia graphical backend, including as inline graphics in IJulia. Alternatively, you can use a Python-based graphical Matplotlib backend to support interactive plot zooming etcetera.

    geemap

    geemap

A Python package for interactive geospaital analysis and visualization

...During the past few years, GEE has become very popular in the geospatial community and it has empowered numerous environmental applications at local, regional, and global scales. GEE provides both JavaScript and Python APIs for making computational requests to the Earth Engine servers. Compared with the comprehensive documentation and interactive IDE (i.e., GEE JavaScript Code Editor) of the GEE JavaScript API, the GEE Python API has relatively little documentation and limited functionality for visualizing results interactively. The geemap Python package was created to fill this gap.

    Bayesian Statistics

    Bayesian Statistics

This repository holds slides and code for a full Bayesian statistics

...The background knowledge is expressed as a prior distribution and combined with observational data in the form of a likelihood function to determine the posterior distribution. The posterior can also be used for making predictions about future events. Bayesian statistics is a departure from classical inferential statistics that prohibits probability statements about parameters and is based on asymptotically sampling infinite samples from a theoretical population and finding parameter values that maximize the likelihood function. Mostly notorious is null-hypothesis significance testing (NHST) based on p-values.

    gganimate

    gganimate

    A Grammar of Animated Graphics

gganimate extends the grammar of graphics as implemented by ggplot2 to include the description of animation. It does this by providing a range of new grammar classes that can be added to the plot object in order to customize how it should change with time. Here we take a simple boxplot of fuel consumption as a function of cylinders and let it transition between the number of gears available in the cars. As this is a discrete split (gear being best described as an ordered factor) we use...

    TurboVNC

    TurboVNC

    High-speed, 3D-friendly, TightVNC-compatible remote desktop software

...TurboVNC forked from TightVNC in 2004 and still covers all of the TightVNC 1.3.x features, but TurboVNC contains numerous feature enhancements and bug fixes relative to TightVNC, and it compresses 3D and video workloads much better than TightVNC while using generally only 5-20% of the CPU time of the latter. Using non-default settings, TurboVNC can also be made to compress 2D workloads as "tightly" as TightVNC.
