    Jmol

    Jmol

An interactive viewer for three-dimensional chemical structures.

Over 1,000,000 page views per month. Jmol/JSmol is a molecular viewer for 3D chemical structures that runs in four independent modes: an HTML5-only web application utilizing jQuery, a Java applet, a stand-alone Java program (Jmol.jar), and a "headless" server-side component (JmolData.jar). Jmol can read many file types, including PDB, CIF, SDF, MOL, PyMOL PSE files, and Spartan files, as well as output from Gaussian, GAMESS, MOPAC, VASP, CRYSTAL, CASTEP, QuantumEspresso, VMD, and many other quantum chemistry programs. Files can be transferred directly from several databases, including RCSB, EDS, NCI, PubChem, and MaterialsProject. Multiple files can be loaded and compared. A rich scripting language and a well-developed web API allow easy customization of the user interface. Features include interactive animation and linear morphing. Jmol interfaces well with JSpecView for spectroscopy, JSME for 2D->3D conversion, POV-Ray for images, and CAD programs for 3D printing (VRML export).

    SPX

    SPX

    A simple & straight-to-the-point PHP profiling extension

SPX, which stands for Simple Profiling eXtension, is just another profiling extension for PHP. It differentiates itself from other similar extensions as being totally free and confined to your infrastructure (i.e. no data leaks to a SaaS). Very simple to use: just set an environment variable (command line) or switch on a radio button (web request) to profile your script. Thus, you are free of manually instrumenting your code (Ctrl-C a long running command line script is even supported). Using a dedicated browser extension or command line launcher. Multi metrics capable: 22 are currently supported (various time & memory metrics, included files, objects in use, I/O...). Able to collect data without losing context. For example Xhprof (and potentially its forks) aggregates data per caller / callee pairs, which implies the loss of the full call stack and forbids timeline or Flamegraph based analysis.

    Observable Plot

    Observable Plot

A concise API for exploratory data visualization

Observable Plot is a free, open-source JavaScript library to help you quickly visualize tabular data. It has a concise and (hopefully) memorable API to foster fluency — and plenty of examples to learn from and copy-paste. In the spirit of show don’t tell, below is a scatterplot of the height and weight of Olympic athletes (sourced from Matt Riggott), constructed using a dot mark. We assign columns of data (such as weight) to visual properties (such as the dot’s x), and Plot infers the rest. You can configure much more, if needed, but Plot’s goal is to help you get a meaningful visualization quickly. Plot employs a layered grammar of graphics inspired by Vega-Lite, ggplot2, Wilkinson’s Grammar of Graphics, and Bertin’s Semiology of Graphics. Plot rejects a chart typology in favor of marks, scales, and transforms. Plot can be readily extended in JavaScript, whether to define a channel, a transform, or even a custom mark.

    wavesurfer.js

    wavesurfer.js

Navigable waveform built on Web Audio and Canvas

wavesurfer.js is a customizable audio waveform visualization, built on top of Web Audio API and HTML5 Canvas. With wavesurfer.js you can create anything from an HTML5 audio player to a sophisticated DJ application. wavesurfer.js works only in modern browsers supporting Web Audio. It will fallback to Audio Element without graphics in other browsers (IE 11 and lower). You can also try wavesurfer.swf which is a Flash-based fallback. The audio will start playing as you press play. A thin line will be displayed until the whole audio file is downloaded and decoded to draw the waveform. Web Audio needs the whole file to decode it in the browser. You can however load pre-decoded waveform data to draw the waveform immediately. wavesurfer.js runs on modern browsers supporting Web Audio, including Firefox, Chrome, Safari (desktop and mobile) and Opera.

    AlphaPlot

    AlphaPlot

Interactive scientific graphing and data analysis software.

Alpha Plot can generate different types of 2D and 3D plots (such as line, scatter, bar, pie, and surface plots) from data that is either imported from ASCII files, entered by hand, or calculated using formulas. The data is held in spreadsheets which are referred to as tables with column-based data (typically X and Y values for 2D plots) or matrices (for 3D plots). The spreadsheets as well as graphs and note windows are gathered in a project and can be organized using folders. The built-in analysis operations include column/row statistics, (de)convolution, FFT and FFT-based filters. Scripting Console support in-place evaluation of mathematical expressions and scrtipting interface to ECMAScript like dynamic scripting language(java script). The GUI of the application uses the Qt toolkit. Periodic test builds are available here http://alphaplot.sourceforge.net/test-build.html

    Algorithm Visualizer

    Algorithm Visualizer

Interactive Online Platform that Visualizes Algorithms from Code

Hacker Scripts is a light-hearted collection of small automation and demo scripts that solve amusing everyday tasks or illustrate quick integrations with external services. The repo collects short programs (originally a set of shell and Ruby scripts) and many community contributed ports in other languages to show “how you might automate X” — for example sending a quick SMS, firing off an email, or triggering a coffee maker — with examples and scheduling snippets included. The README explains each example, lists required environment variables or credentials (e.g., Twilio/Gmail where applicable), and gives cron examples so readers can run the scripts in a real environment. The project is intentionally informal and educational: it’s meant for experimentation, learning language-interop, and having fun rather than production-grade automation. Many implementations exist across languages (shell, Ruby, Python, Node, PowerShell, Go, Java, and more) and contributors are encouraged to add further

    Cytoscape.js

    Cytoscape.js

Graph theory library for visualization and analysis

A fully featured graph library written in pure JS. Permissive open source license (MIT) for the core Cytoscape.js library and all first-party extensions. Used in commercial projects and open-source projects in production. Designed for users first, for both frontfacing app usecases and developer usecases. Highly optimized. Compatible with All modern browsers. Legacy browsers with ES5 and canvas support. ES5 and canvas support are required, and feature detection is used for optional performance enhancements. Browsers circa 2012 support ES5 fully: IE10, Chrome 23, Firefox 21, Safari 6 (caniuse). Browsers with partial but sufficient ES5 support also work, such as IE9 and Firefox 4. The documentation and examples are not optimized for old browsers, although the library itself is. Some demos may not work in old browsers in order to keep the demo code simple.

    NVD3

    NVD3

A reusable charting library written in d3.js

This project is an attempt to build re-usable charts and chart components for d3.js without taking away the power that d3.js gives you. This is a very young collection of components, with the goal of keeping these components very customizable, staying away from your standard cookie cutter solutions. Download d3.v3.js. This is the only required library for NVD3. Download the latest nv.d3.js (version 1.8.1). Get the development version, or minified production version. Don’t forget the NVD3 css file! Checkout our examples gallery for how to code your first chart. Our examples should provide you with enough code to start making beautiful charts. Google Chrome is our best supported browser. NVD3 also works in Firefox, Opera, Safari and Internet Explorer 10. NVD3 is currently maintained by a team of frontend software engineers at Novus Partners.

    React Sight

    React Sight

Visualization tool for React, with support for Fiber, Router, etc.

React Sight requires React Dev Tools for reading information about your App. Simply add to Chrome if you don't have it installed. Open your React application, or open (almost!) any website running React! React Sight is a live view of the component hierarchy tree of your React application with support for React Router and Redux. Now with support for Firefox! Hover over nodes to see their state and props in the side panel. Hide DOM elements, Redux components, and Router components with the built-in filters, so that you can focus only on the components you've written. Zoom in by double-clicking, and zoom out by shift + double clicking (mouse wheel zoom coming soon!) We built React Sight because there are no tools on the market that give you a visual representation of the structure of your App. When we were developing our own projects, we wished we had a way to see how everything was structured.

    Vizzu

    Vizzu

Library for animated data visualizations and data stories

Vizzu is a free, open-source Javascript/C++ library utilizing a generic dataviz engine that generates many types of charts and seamlessly animates between them. It can be used to create static charts but more importantly, it is designed for building animated data stories and interactive explorers as Vizzu enables showing different perspectives of the data that the viewers can easily follow due to the animation. Create a placeholder element that will contain the rendered chart. The Vizzu constructor has to load Vizzu's WebAssembly module asynchronously to prevent blocking the whole page. Because of this, any method except animate() will throw an exception while the library is not initialized. There is an initializing promise in the Vizzu class, which will resolve when initialization is finished. You can call all methods after this promise is resolved.

    vue-chartjs

    vue-chartjs

    Vue.js wrapper for Chart.js

vue-chartjs is a wrapper for Chart.js in vue. You can easily create reusable chart components. You can use vue-chartjs directly in the browser without any build setup. Like in this codepen. For this case, please use the vue-chartjs.min.js which is the minified version. You also need to add the Chart.js CDN script. Chart.js does not update or re-render the chart if new data is passed. However, you can simply implement this on your own or use one of the two mixins which are included. The mixins automatically create chartData as a prop or data. And add a watcher. If data has changed, the chart will update. However, keep in mind the limitations of vue and javascript for mutations on arrays and objects. It is important that you pass your options in a local variable named options! You can create your components in Vues single file components.

    Chokidar

    Chokidar

Minimal and efficient cross-platform file watching library

Chokidar is a solution for all the users of Node.js fs.watch who are tired of it not reporting filenames on MacOS and events at all when using editors like Sublime on MacOS. Node.js fs.watch often reports events twice, emits most changes as rename, and it does not provide an easy way to recursively watch file trees nor supports recursive watching on Linux. Same as with Node.js fs.watchFile. Therefore, Chokidar resolves these problems. Initially made for Brunch (an ultra-swift web app build tool), it is now used in Microsoft's Visual Studio Code, gulp, karma, PM2, browserify, webpack, BrowserSync, and many others. It has proven itself in production environments. Chokidar does still rely on the Node.js core fs module, but when using fs.watch and fs.watchFile for watching, it normalizes the events it receives, often checking for truth by getting file stats and/or dir contents.
