LSG is a Windows application framework designed for visual data integration and based on Microsoft .NET 2.0 and CAB. An admin utility manages LSG apps, modules, events, and services, and a client integrates the modules and provides functionality hooks.

The Julia base package is pretty big, although at the same time, there are lots of other packages around to expand it with. The result is that on the whole, it is impossible to give a thorough overview of all that Julia can do in just a few brief exercises. Therefore, I had to adopt a little 'bias', or 'slant' if you please, in deciding what to focus on and what to ignore. Julia is a technical computing language, although it does have the capabilities of any general-purpose language and you'd be hard-pressed to find tasks it's completely unsuitable for (although that does not mean it's the best or easiest choice for any of them). Julia was developed with the occasional reference to R, and with an avowed intent to improve upon R's clunkiness. R is a great language, but relatively slow, to the point that most people use it to rapidly prototype, and then implement the algorithm for production in Python or Java. Julia seeks to be as approachable as R but without the speed penalty.

The intention behind this Lidar Visualisation Toolbox is to provide an easy-to-use, stand-alone application to create visualisations from high-resolution airborne LIDAR-based digital elevation data. LiVT also includes tools like raster file creation from xyz point clouds. A few mouse clicks and some processing time should be enough to go from an xyz ASCII file to a grey-scale SVF image, an LRM map or a percentage map of cumulative visibility. As LiVT does not include a data viewer, additional software will be necessary to display the processing results.

LightGraphs offers both (a) a set of simple, concrete graph implementations -- Graph (for undirected graphs) and DiGraph (for directed graphs), and (b) an API for the development of more sophisticated graph implementations under the AbstractGraph type. The project goal is to mirror the functionality of robust network and graph analysis libraries such as NetworkX while being simpler to use and more efficient than existing Julian graph libraries such as Graphs.jl. It is an explicit design decision that any data not required for graph manipulation (attributes and other information, for example) is expected to be stored outside of the graph structure itself. Such data lends itself to storage in more traditional and better-optimized mechanisms.

LightTrace is a simple but versatile object-oriented raytracer that renders a scene and saves the image as a bitmap. The program is controlled by editing a text configuration file. A compiled Win32 executable is provided.
