    LoggingExtras.jl

    LoggingExtras.jl

Composable Loggers for the Julia Logging StdLib

LoggingExtras allows routing logged information to different places when constructing complicated "log plumbing" systems. Built upon the concept of simple parts composed together, subtyping AbstractLogger provides a powerful and flexible definition for your logging system without a need to define any custom loggers. When we talk about composability, the composition of any set of Loggers is itself a Logger, and LoggingExtras is a composable logging system.

    ReTest.jl

    ReTest.jl

    Testing framework for Julia

ReTest is a testing framework for Julia allowing defining tests in source files, whose execution is deferred and triggered on demand. This is useful when one likes to have definitions of methods and corresponding tests close to each other. This is also useful for code that is not (yet) organized as a package, and where one doesn't want to maintain a separate set of files for tests. Filtering run testsets with a Regex, which is matched against the descriptions of testsets. This is useful for running only part of the test suite of a package. ...

    PlutoSliderServer.jl

    PlutoSliderServer.jl

Web server to run just the `@bind` parts of a Pluto.jl notebook

...PlutoSliderServer can run a notebook and generate the export HTML file. This will give you the same file as the export button inside Pluto (top right), but automatically, without opening a browser. One use case is to automatically create a GitHub Pages site from a repository with notebooks. For this, take a look at our template repository that used GitHub Actions and PlutoSliderServer to generate a website on every commit. Many input elements only have a finite number of possible values, for example, PlutoUI.Slider(5:15) can only have 11 values. ...

    FiniteDifferences.jl

    FiniteDifferences.jl

High accuracy derivatives, estimated via numerical finite differences

FiniteDifferences.jl estimates derivatives with finite differences. See also the Python package FDM. FiniteDiff.jl and FiniteDifferences.jl are similar libraries: both calculate approximate derivatives numerically. You should definitely use one or the other, rather than the legacy Calculus.jl finite differencing, or reimplementing it yourself. At some point in the future, they might merge, or one might depend on the other.

    Query.jl

    Query.jl

    Query almost anything in julia

...SQL. There is a prototype implementation of such a "query provider" for SQLite in the package, but it is experimental at this point and only works for a very small subset of queries. Query is heavily inspired by LINQ, in fact right now the package is largely an implementation of the LINQ part of the C# specification. Future versions of Query will most likely add features that are not found in the original LINQ design.

    EllipsisNotation.jl

    EllipsisNotation.jl

Julia-based implementation of ellipsis array indexing notation

...Note: .. slurps dimensions greedily, meaning that the first occurrence of .. in an index expression creates as many slices as possible. Other instances of .. afterward are treated simply as slices. Usually, you should only use one instance of .. in an indexing expression to avoid possible confusion.

Bear necessities for state management in React

A small, fast and scalable bearbones state-management solution using simplified flux principles. Has a comfy API based on hooks, isn't boilerplatey or opinionated. Don't disregard it because it's cute. It has quite the claws, lots of time was spent dealing with common pitfalls, like the dreaded zombie child problem, react concurrency, and context loss between mixed renderers. It may be the one state-manager in the React space that gets all of these right.

    Conda.jl

    Conda.jl

    https://github.com/JuliaPy/Conda.jl

This package allows one to use conda as a cross-platform binary provider for Julia for other Julia packages, especially to install binaries that have complicated dependencies like Python. conda is a package manager that started as the binary package manager for the Anaconda Python distribution, but it also provides arbitrary packages. Instead of the full Anaconda distribution, Conda.jl uses the miniconda Python environment, which only includes conda and its dependencies.

    Wavelets.jl

A Julia package for fast discrete wavelet transforms and utilities

...Included lifting schemes are currently only for Haar and Daubechies (under development). A new lifting scheme can be easily constructed by users. The current implementation of the lifting transforms is 2x faster than the filter transforms. Thresholding, best basis, and denoising functions, e.g. TI denoising by cycle spinning, best basis for WPT, noise estimation, and matching pursuit.

    Zenith

    Zenith

Sort of like top or htop but with zoom-able charts, CPU, GPU

...It requires musl-gcc to be installed on the system. Install "musl-tools" package on debian/ubuntu derivatives, "musl-gcc" on fedora and equivalent on other distributions from their standard repos. If one needs to build with NVIDIA support in a virtual environment, then it requires some more setup since typically the VM software is unable to directly expose NVIDIA GPU. Unlike the runtime zenith script, the Makefile has been setup to detect only the presence of required NVIDIA libraries, so it is possible to build with NVIDIA support even when without NVIDIA GPU.

    dlib

    dlib

Toolkit for making machine learning and data analysis applications

...Dlib's open source licensing allows you to use it in any application, free of charge. Good unit test coverage, the ratio of unit test lines of code to library lines of code is about 1 to 4. The library is tested regularly on MS Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X systems. No other packages are required to use the library, only APIs that are provided by an out of the box OS are needed. There is no installation or configure step needed before you can use the library. All operating system specific code is isolated inside the OS abstraction layers which are kept as small as possible.

    InteractiveViz.jl

    InteractiveViz.jl

    Interactive visualization tools for Julia

Julia already has a rich set of plotting tools in the form of the Plots and Makie ecosystems, and various backends for these. So why another plotting package? InteractiveViz is not a replacement for Plots or Makie, but rather a graphics pipeline system developed on top of Makie. It has a few objectives. To provide a simple API to visualize large or possibly infinite datasets (tens of millions of data points) easily. To enable interactivity, and be responsive even with large amounts of data....

    PySyft

    PySyft

Data science on data without acquiring a copy

...This is very limiting to human collaboration and systematically drives the centralization of data, because you cannot work with a bunch of data without first putting it all in one (central) place. The Syft ecosystem seeks to change this system, allowing you to write software which can compute over information you do not own on machines you do not have (total) control over. This not only includes servers in the cloud, but also personal desktops, laptops, mobile phones, websites, and edge devices. Wherever your data wants to live in your ownership, the Syft ecosystem exists to help keep it there while allowing it to be used privately.

    ParallelStencil.jl

    ParallelStencil.jl

Package for writing high-level code for parallel stencil computations

ParallelStencil empowers domain scientists to write architecture-agnostic high-level code for parallel high-performance stencil computations on GPUs and CPUs. Performance similar to CUDA C / HIP can be achieved, which is typically a large improvement over the performance reached when using only CUDA.jl or AMDGPU.jl GPU Array programming. For example, a 2-D shallow ice solver presented at JuliaCon 2020 [1] achieved a nearly 20 times better performance than a corresponding GPU Array programming implementation; in absolute terms, it reached 70% of the theoretical upper performance bound of the used Nvidia P100 GPU, as defined by the effective throughput metric, T_eff. ...

    visx

    Visualization components

...At Airbnb, we made it a goal to unify our visualization stack across the company and in the process, we created a new project that brings together the power of D3 with the joy of React. visx is split into multiple packages. Start small and use only what you need. Bring your own state management, animation library, or CSS-in-JS solution. Odds are good your React app already has an opinion on how animation, theming, or styling is done. visx is careful not to add another one and integrates with all of them. As you start using visualization primitives, you’ll end up building your own charting library that’s optimized for your use case. ...
